It seems like everyone who runs for President that does not do well gets some press to run as a 3rd party candidate...their only spoilers at best. |

It will never happen. The Clinton's would never abandon the party that made Bill Clinton President of the United States and Hillary the junior US Senator from New York. Plus, what fools would dump money into her third party candidacy? Her finance people are already in talks to join the Obama campaign. To run a credible third party effort, it would cost hundreds of millions of dollars -- and I don't think the Clinton's want to squander their nest egg on a sure fire loser. |

Obviously that would split the leftist vote and McCain would win. Perot had this effect on Bush in 92' and Nader did the same for Gore in 2000. It’s a bad idea to provide a "third option" and siphon votes away from the candidate who is much closer to you ideologically than the candidate you are inadvertently helping. Now if we had four candidates, that would be interesting. Maybe Obama and Mccain each running with their respective parties, and Hilary and maybe Huckabee or Ron Paul or someone else normally in the GOP camp also running independently. THAT would be interesting |

It looks like Hillary Rodham Clinton will endorse Barack Obama either Friday or Saturday – I’ve seen conflicting reports. It’s time for the party to coalesce around Senator Obama and win back the White House in November. Senator Obama said tonight on ABC NEWS that working with both Senator Clinton and President Clinton will be important this campaign season. And I’m sure that for the good of the country, both Clinton’s will do their level best to support the candidacy of Senator Obama. Bill Clinton didn’t particularly impress me this primary season, but he’s as good as it gets when it comes to retail politics. I’m sure the Obama campaign won’t make the same mistake the Gore campaign made and ignore him. |
