I still have your back.

It's lonely without you, big guy.

Ten Hut!

Military service liars are apparently still welcome in the Republican party until next January.

Clearly Nwokie was guilty as charged. I say good riddance.

Guilty as charged?

Leftists are quick to pile on a vet, but give pinko aclu members, naral abortionists and nambla members a free pass.

What's amazing is that either of you would bother to give a crap about a poster who blatently LIED about his service to this country, and on top of that, hardly ever contributed anything of value or truth.

I'm not sure what's more disgraceful, the liar that lied about serving our country, or those that support the liar.

I know we all go through periods of time where we take a timeout from this forum for various reasons. I'm willing to cut the guy some slack, although the timing is interesting.

Maybe he'll come back under a different name. Although his posting style was certainly unique.

Maybe he's turned into a lurker now and had his fill. I'm not going to assume anything especially about the characters on this message board.

If he did lie about his service record then he has to live with it. No need to kick man when he's down, if he is indeed down.

Well stated, Chris.

I'm all for cutting someone slack from time to time...even the aclu-defending Trixter.

The only ones who apparently won't play nice are those blinded by their agenda.

We are all too human Herb. Lord knows I've hammered you unfairly at times.

We all hide to an extent behind our names or nick's, nothing really wrong with that. Some may show their cards others keep them close.

Whatever the deal is with Nwokie its his deal and I'm not comfortable making any judgements.

Unfairly?

Naw, some of it I deserve.

As I see it, you guys sometimes deal with the direct & oft brusque, yet fun-loving, beer-drinking 'Martin Luther' Herb.

Sometimes you deal with the 'kinder & gentler' Dietrich Bonhoeffer Herb [who though a pacifist, was okay with offing Hitler]. This guy is a civil, Rodney King sort of fellow who generally wonders 'Can't we all get along?'

And other times you have the word-loving, semi-erudite, anglicised 'C.S. Lewis' Herb.

Then there's the Richard Milhous Nixon Herb, but that's not for now. I've stirred the pot enough.

God help you all.

Although I had nothing to do with the Nwokie "outing" thread, asking how he's doing is a bit like asking Newportradio, Ussyorktown, Kisntell, or Radiorat what they're up to these days, expecting they'll respond in person to the thread.

I've been on forums before where members leave and swear never to return (sometimes, they just leave) after having their values questioned, or have had enough of the politics or whatever. I can understand that type of pain. It's not fun, or the reason they participated on the forum in the first place. Half the time, if something was either e-mailed or sent via a private message (on the boards that have them), whatever issue gets resolved and they're still around; versus posting it for everyone to add their two cents.
