Ya, ok, no one ever believes me, but it always happens, within 3 days.
Dick Martin
Sydney Pollack
Harvey Kormann
All great great men and all will be missed.
Weird how that happens.

"Ya, ok, no one ever believes me, but it always happens, within 3 days."

And I'm always here debunking you. Deaths happens all the time, and on occasions, they seemingly "happen in 3's". Its called "counting the hits and ignoring the misses. Nothing weird about that at all.

I don't know if Sydney Pollack is really a household name. There may be another. A member of Rush died too. I remember twice having 2 on the same day. I believe it was Sammy Davis Jr and Jim Henson one time and the other time I think was Dudley Moore and someone else.

There were four this week...
You forgot Earle Hagen... wrote many themes for shows and much more. Made the Paul Harvey report on Wednesday.

There were many great men and women who passed away this week. There will be many great men and women who will pass away next week and the week after. Some will be "household names" many won't be. They will be Doctors, Scientists, all people who really made a difference and contributed to this world of ours in some way and yes even actors or producers all of who never made it to household name status. They come in much more than threes, twos, or fours.

No. That would really mess up Dodger's theory.

My "theory" of threes has to take place in 72 hours, three days.
So we will see if it works or not.
Of course who is "famous" is somewhat subjective.
I would count Bo Diddley for sure!
Here comes the death watch....oh, that's sort of gross, don't mean that offensively.

Well, considering about 100 people die worldwide every minute - that's about 150,000 people a day who will soon begin their dirt nap - the odds are pretty good that there will be some "prominent" people in there. People/things/events have significance because we attach the significance. But then I've had three radio shows die in rapid succession, so maybe you're on to something.

Less than 24 hours, #2 is Mel Ferrer, the wonderful Spanish actor. Now if you count Yves St. Laurant, that would be three in less than 72 hours. Sorry Steve, but I am thinking it will be another actor before the 72 hours is up.
Yes, tons of people die every day, but this little weird thing is always interesting.
