Well, here's most of the audio:

http://www.mediafire.com/?g1f492lbruy

And a transcript:

quote:

["Did you know that there are people in this country who want prayer out of schools, "Under God" out of the Pledge, and "In God We Trust" to be taken off our money?"]

"But did you know that 86% of Americans say they believe in God? Since we all know that 86 out of every 100 of us are Christians, who believe in God, we at Kieffe & Sons Ford wonder why we don't tell the other 14% to sit down and shut up. I guess I just offended 14% of the people who are listening to this message. Well, if that is the case then I say that's tough, this is America folks, it's called free speech. None of us at Kieffe & Sons Ford is afraid to speak out. Kieffe & Sons Ford on Sierra Highway in Mojave and Rosamond, if we don't see you today, by the grace of God, we'll be here tomorrow."

This is actually so bizzare, it's funny, not offensive to me. Destined to be a classic right out of the gate.

Thoughts anyone?

Good for them! CLASSIC advertising that gets your attention!

Unfortuneately the 14% are mostly lawyers and supposed do-gooders who relish in taking on the majority and screwing it up for them!

This is a there's-a-sucker-born-every-minute tactic. I bet one pays a premium for a pro-God car from Kieffe & Sons Ford.

Pretty clever. It's like the old saying...It doesn't matter what kind of press you get as long as the name is spelled correctly on the check.

BZZZT! Wrong.

"But did you know that 86% of Americans say they believe in God? Since we all know that 86 out of every 100 of us are Christians, who believe in God"

What about Catholics, etc, etc? they all believe in god(s) and are NOT Christians.

I'm not a 'religious' person,per-se. I don't fit any of the "normal" religions, and think most of them are pretty hokey. (just MHO.)I don't believe in "God" in the same way that most people might.
I'm not a devil-worshiper or anything,But I'm certainly not a bible-thumper. I'm just an average dude.

I sort of agree with taking the "under god" part out of the pledge -In Schools-. Once you're a legal adult, you can make up your own mind on religion. Until then, there should be no pressure from any angle opposed upon children.Educate them about all religions, and when they're mature enough to decide *FOR THEMSELVES* they can do whatever they hell they please. (as long as it's legal.)

As for having "in god we trust" on money,Personally,I don't really give a crap one way or the other. One one hand,it is what this country was founded on,our heritage. On the other hand, times have changed substantially since then, and even more so since the Bible,Koran, etc. were written.

You're free to do your own thing,And I won't get in the way of that. But let me do my own thing, and don't get in my way.
No everybody has the same beliefs.

As for the commercial?
He didn't offend me.But he's also not going to get my business.

His freedom of speech,My freedom of choice.
It works BOTH ways.
