Well so much for taking the Yugo up to Seattle.
The thunder is really LOUD at my place. I live in SW Portland.

Anybody hear the thunder, or is it hailing pennies, like the news has been reporting! Whats it like in YOUR neck of the woods?

I'm 20 miles to your north. Just sitting in the car in the driveway facing south, listening to KGON, seat leaned back, watching the light show.
Sometimes its all about a little me time and simple pleasures. Barely sprinkling now.

Hey Temper,
I think "thunderstruck" by ACDC would be appropriate to hear right now. OR maybe "The thunder Rolls" By Garth Brooks OR
"Lightning Strikes" By LIVE OR "Rainyday woman" By Bob Dylan OR ok I'll stop!

"Anybody hear the thunder, or is it hailing pennies, like the news has been reporting! Whats it like in YOUR neck of the woods?"

Pouring rain! Sounded like it's hailing pennies! (Didn't actually hail, but the rain was coming down so hard it seemed like it.)

In fact, a couple of hours ago my Muzak feed on Echostar 7 dropped out completely (like, about 10% signal) because of the rain fade. Somehow I can't help but imagine that the lightning may have been involved as well. (It's come back decently now. At this very moment I am listening to "Expressions" on transponder 4--it's the same channel they play at Shari's--and am copying it at around 65-77%. It's really just all over the scale within that range.)

Oh Darktemper, you forgot to mention "Lightning Strikes" by Lou Christie, and Bohemian Rhapsody...!! ;o)

Raining like a cow pissing on a flat rock out here in Hillsboro. Thunder and lightning stopped about 30 minutes ago.

A foot of water covering a section of roadway out in rural Wilsonville. A flash flood-type thing. I never see this in November when water has time to flow away.

LOL!!!!!! That caught me as funny.

We got the torrential downpour yesterday over here. The Spokane River is 4-5 feet over its banks in certain areas.

"Lightning Strikes" By LIVE
The actual name was "Lightning Crashes." Just thinking of the song still sorta pisses me off since (IMO!) it was so overplayed and (again IMO!) Live had better songs.

I'm in SE Portland. Last night, plenty of lightning (enough for me to unplug the computer), along with plenty of rain. Most of the lightning seemed to be coming from the east.

Hey Newflyer the album "throwing Copper" By Live was one of my favorite albums from the 90's.
I forgot how great that album was. And yes, I agree, "Lightning Crashes" Was one of the weakest songs on the album, yet it got the most airplay. Go figure.
I don't know what happend to that band, they put out a couple of solid albums and then started writing "Soccer mom" Crap!

There still rockin hard! They performed in Washington D.C. just a couple weeks ago for the DC101 Chili cookoff. I think it was May 10th.

Thats interesting. I thought they died off. Or I thought they were a band that had a limited amount of good material. Thats what happends to a lot of bands, they put out a few good albums than just start releasing CRAP. Id love to hear a new SOLID album from Live.

I unfortunately don't have the album.
"I alone," "White Discussion," "Selling the Drama," "Rattlesnake," etc., right?! I know, I could look it up, just feeling lazy right now.

"selling the Drama" by Live is an awesome song , I also loved the song "Over you."
That album came out at a great time for music!
The grunge scene had peaked and you had so many great seattle bands. As depressing as the grunge rock music was, I really enjoyed most of it. Whats REALLY DEPRESSING now is the current state of rock, or should I say, the lack of!
"Humanity Hour 1" By the Scorpions is the best new rock album that I have heard in a long time!
I've had that CD in my car for over 6 months and I'm still not sick of it! The scorpions new album RULES!
