Hey, make it as many as you want. I just thought the top 5 would make you really think about it but 10 would be cool.

My students were a little taken aback by Chris. Oh, he's a great guy (and taller than me by a head, which unfortunately isn't saying much), but when he played airchecks or spots he produced, they had a hard time reconciling his speaking voice with his "radio" voice, as if they needed proof he was actually who he claimed to be. Once he read a little copy for them, they were satisfied.

However, John Erickson sounds exactly the same in person as on the air.

Oh, and add Darktemper to my list.

Under the right circumstances, just about every one of you I would put on my list for different reasons.

Vit and MC74 are the two I'm most curious about.

I won't be happy until I meet Herb.

There may be a unique chance ( and reason ) to get together this summer in my area of town. I just need to finish my dungeon and batch of Kool Aide and find a webserver that is stable...need more rope too.

Really it's everybody though. The ones I listed are the ones I most often wonder about. If this were asked at different times, some of the names would be different.

The most entertaining bit about it is something I call expectation shear. Over time we build up these mental constructs of what we think people are like. When we actually meet, there sometimes is a very significant difference between that mental image and reality. That's the shear and it's always thought provoking and entertaining.

Edit: Thanks everyone for spending time here. I know I'm glad I decided to start years ago. I'm sure it's the same for all of you. At times, life is ugly and busy. It's great to have friends to talk with, sometimes share things with, and laugh at / with! It's special to me, like family is special to me.

Time for another get-together?

Sometime ago when Trixter and Mc74 were going head-to-head, Trixter offered Mc74 a steak dinner and posted a location to meet. If I lived closer, I would have shown up at that location knowing full well Mc74 had no intention of being there. Why would I want to let a steak dinner go to waste?
