KPAM has been having some serious technical problems
this evening. The sound has been dropping out or
cutting out altogether. There have also been a lot
of clicks and other odd sounds that make the station
difficult to listen to. I sent an e-mail to their
operations director. I am a bit surprised that they
don't have any way to get around the defective part
of the system (like an alternate way to get the audio to the transmitter site, assuming that the problem is in the studio-to-transmitter link.)

Maybe working on their CP for a night power increase/pattern change?

It sounds like the problem has been fixed. The dropping out was really bad during the Victoria Taft show, but now that I think about it, I had heard the same clicking sounds on 860 about a week before and promptly forgot about them. Maybe this was some piece of equipment that had been deteriorating gradually?
