1075 still has a lot of wok to do with their format if they want to get any ratings. I think they need to evolve into a CHR station or else that station will be history. Playing a bunch of old rap songs from the 90's will not work!

hm... "rap song" is an oxymoron... Also, there's a BUNCH of rock/rap/country/other bad music/"near-music" stations on the dial... A 2nd sports station is a good thing... If Rush Limburger can be on four stations at the same time, sports programming can certainly take up two...

Honest to god, if anyone from CBS has even the slightest bit of common sense, they'd bail on Movin' tomorrow afternoon and launch a rhy/chr. Either that, or launch a chr and flatten what little is left of Z. People like to believe their stick is the problem, but when Mix launched, they topped the market for a book (crazy, I know, but we all watched it happen). There is absolutely no excuse for 107.5 to be in the one shares other than its ownership.

By the way, though I noted that Mix topped the market for a book, don't mistake that for an endorsement of Mix. Mix was a joke without a punchline. 80s was a brilliant way to sign on a Hot/AC and force their way into the market. Instead, CBS (er, Infinity) thought it was a format. Time quickly proved otherwise.

107.5 now has a signal that's actually "stronger" than 95.5!

Yup Movin has a chance to flatten Z100! Put some good talent on Movin and they will crush whats left of Z100!

I think it's forgotten how big of a coup that was that Z100 got Dan Reed to do that song for their "Blazer Anthem" for 1992. Reed had a couple of semi-successful studio albums in the late-80s/early 90s and was probably where Pink Martini or Storm Large is today as far as local/national talent. Plus Reed pretty much knocked that song out of the park. Ahhh, the Drexler/Porter Blazer years... what could have been if not for ol' number 23...

Has anyone listened to Movin' lately? They're more current based now. Sounds like they're already evolving to CHR.

Turned on Movin today and they were playing "Wild thing" By Tone Loc. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!! How many times do stations need to play that burnt out, STALE SONG! No wonder movin's ratings are in the toilet!

So you only stayed for less than 1 song? I hear 2-3 currents in a row. And for the record, I still like "Wild Thing".

DO you understand Theedger THAT if Movin doesn't switch to a CHR and go head to head with Z100 somebody else will and than Movin will be HISTORY!

OK, that won't happen. Clear Channel will NOT deliberately take away a large portion of Z100's audience! They also won't go Fresh to compete with K103 for the same reason.

This from Yesterday's All Access: -------------------------Where In The World Is PK?------------------------------ With the announcement THURSDAY that ROSE CITY Top 40/Rhythmic KXJM (JAMMIN' 95.5)/PORTLAND, OR had flushed the format in favor of Sports, the question arises -- what's ahead for former morning show PK's PLAYHOUSE? PK tells ALL ACCESS "on the record we still will be syndicating (via SUPERADIO), and doing the TV show from the same studio." But what about "off the record?" Well, we can't say yet -- but expect to hear big things from PK soon.

"How many times do stations need to play that burnt out, STALE SONG!" Gee, I can say the same thing about the stuff I hear on 105.9 and 106.7. Every time I go them, they are playing another song that I have been tired of for a long time. I don't think they know that certain artists made more than 2-3 songs. At least 1010AM does. I keep hearing new (old)gems all the time that haven't been played in years. Tired of their bumpers in-between tunes though.

Movin' is 'Movin' by name only. The music they've been playing doesn't line up with what the consultant company (forgot who they are) is selling as 'Movin' It sounds like they're already adjusting to take a share or two away from Z100. Maybe they'll be a rhythmic hot ac (playing all the rnb & tempo songs from chr - but no alt rock or hard rap). That could be a good 25-44 and eat into Z. Being #1 with 12-18 doesn't get you a lot of agy buys.

Thats because the consultants playlist is stupid and will go NOWHERE! Obviously someone at CSB has realized that the consultants failed playlist of stale songs doesn't work! i have also noticed a lot of new music on Movin. Im guessing they will blow up Movin any day now and go head to head with Z100!! Movin is slowly starting to sound like z100! Remember when Movin first came on the air? I couldn't stop laughing, the music was so bad! It was 90% old songs from the 80's and 90's, and the newer music, which wasn;t very new- was 6 months old. It sounds like they have droped almost all of their 80's music, and are focusing on new music, which is smart!
