On a rerun of Rick Emerson's Thursday program, I heard mention of Sergio Alvarizares, the Portland pastor who had been arrested late last year on accusations that he had sexually assaulted women at his church. Alvarizares pleaded guilty to a charge, a charge of attempted rape, and several charges of sexual assault. He could face up to 18 years in prison. Here is a story from the Oregonian on his plea:
