You have to understand right wing thinking. It's OK for McCain and Cheney to tell co-workers to fu*k-off and for McCain to call his wife a c*nt, but it's not OK for Obama to have an ancient middle name (that is as common as Smith in some places in the world) or to refer to citizens dissatisfied with the leadership of George the Shrub as "bitter." It just shows you how screwed up the minds of the right-wing are.

Never known a good military officer or NCO, that couldn't ocassionally spice up a conversation.

The best one's are that only occssionally do it, then you know when their really serious.

That's OK. The office of Vice-President and the position of Senator are not, however, military positions. They are servants of the public trust. A sense of decorum and professionalism goes a lot further than walking down the halls of Congress telling your detractors to "Fu*k off." It is reflective of an attitude of non-accountability to the very American public that put them in those positions. If you mouth off like McSame or Cheney did to a co-worker in front of a superior, how long would it take for you to be out the door?

Someone should have told that to Andy Jackson, both of the Roosevelts, Truman, LBJ, Nixon etc. All used an occassional cuss word, to emphisize a point.

So using a cuss word to emphasize is point is an understandable or effective reason to do so?

McSame and Cheney were not emphasizing any point. They were just being assholes because someone did not agree with them.

They didn't use the f bomb as an adjective, but as a transitive verb.
Nixon would use it as an adjective, like "fu*king Jews." Nixon resigned in disgrace by the way. Mentioning him in the same breath as Jackson, the Roosevelts and LBJ is unfair to the rest.
