First off, I am NOT one to fight off technology. I was there over 30 years ago now, when all we had was a couple of turntables, carts, tape, and a xmitter that would kick off here and there. And let's not forget about the station managers wife that would call! However, there have been some fantastic advances in computer technology in radio, which has made for a better experience for the listener; which of course I am all for. Unfortunatly, this same technology has also watered down radio, into the dismal state that it is today. While there are somethings about the " good ole days" which weren't so good; the magic of the radio station, and the music that was being played is something that has not been replicated. Radio today can be summed up like this: Lame, boring jocks, and souless music. |

It is so unbelievable how bad radio sounds today! The same crappy researched playlist with voice tracked dj's that say the same stupid liner card sayings over and over! What a joke, what an absolute JOKE! |

Am I all alone here, or did anyone else hear the Battle Hymn of the Republic in the background while reading EugeneBob's post? |
