Have you seen the new cover of TIME magazine? Dropping the traditional RED for a one time "green" punch comparing the Marines at Iwo Jima with global warming. Check out the link below...

If you haven't guessed, I'm not impressed. My family members are Marines, Navy and Air Force. Going back, my uncle and older buddy served in Vietnam. My other uncle was in Korea. My grandfather and his brothers all served Navy and Marines in the Pacific Operations. Yes, Iwo Jima is one area. My uncle shorty, (because he IS short and lost part of his hand and some fingers while tossing a Japanese grenade back at the Japanese) is a proud Marine.

So let's say I'm not thrilled that someone is comparing the atrocities that the Japanese, Germans and others did during WWII with global warming scare tactics. Two different threats, two different worlds. I feel sorry for the veterans who will see that cover.

I will be traveling the passes and I-5 corridor in our two great states over the weekend, so can only chime in now. I think I can sense who else will drop in a note of "love" on this topic, so "let the mud throwing begin!"

I think you're overreacting. I see no issues with the cover.
