Keyboardist Danny Federici, who for four decades played alongside rock star Bruce Springsteen as part of the E Street Band and helped define his rollicking sound, has died of melanoma. He was 58.

A sad day for all E street fans "Phantom Dan" was a well respected member of the music community sit back and listen to that organ playing on any Bruce song ,and live, when dan whipped out the accordion look out >Federici was one to let the music do the talking. federici played with the E street band until November then sat out the rest of the tour except for a brief appearance last month in Indianapolis ...He will be missed, Rest In Peace
