I sent an email out to some of you earlier this week regarding our Shyguy (I'm not sure everybody received it), but he has been in the hospital since last Sunday. He went to the ER on Sunday and was moved right into the Critical Care Unit. I spoke with his Mom on Thursday and went down to see him today. He said it's OK to post here and let you all know.

He is in MUCH better shape than he was earlier this week and is out of CCU as of Friday, but will probably be in the hospital for at least another week. He does not have access to a laptop, and he's not allowed to wear contacts, so vision is a problem, and he can't keep up here, and it's bugging him that he's out of the loop (so he must be feeling better, if he misses US!)

Anyway, I told him we all send our best, and I brought a pot of herbs (cooking type) and I said that those are from you guys. The girly flowers are from me. If anybody has any books on CD or cassettes lying around, maybe you could fling them his way, he has a long recovery road ahead.

It was my first time meeting him in person, and I also got to meet his Mom and Dad, who have been so worried and spending all their free time there. They are all a fine bunch!

Anyhoos, if you'd like more info or his phone numbers, feel free to email me: Mrs.Merkin at gmail. I'd like to go down to Salem again this week if I can get some non-mom time. Any messages here I could print up and try to get to him. he'd love to hear from any of you.

Anyone who makes it to Salem should let me know. I'm flexible - so you guys fit your schedule and I'm in. Even if I'm solo. It'd be a good reason to gather, you know?

Mrs. Merkin, I really appreciate you letting us know that our pal is on the mend. I am sure we all agree that Shyguy is loved and missed around these parts. When you see him, let him know I am praying for him and wish him a speedy recovery. You oughta bring CJ along for a visit too. Laughter is the best medicine, but be careful. Nothing messes up sutures like a couple of good jokes between friends.

Shyguy you are sorely missed around these parts. When one of our regular posters goes down we are all affected.

Prayers for a full recovery but also be kind to yourself and give yourself the time you need to get back on your feet.

Well this puts to bed post of a few years ago that said Shyguy was Marconi.
I met him at one of the get-togethers at Mark Lindsay's. It was obvious he wasn't Marconi, Tiny, Jason Kyte, or anyone other than Shyguy. (So, when people here post "I'm NOT [whoever]!," they really might be telling the truth.) It was a real pleasure to meet him and I hope he gets better soon.
It's really great that many on this message board have gotten to know each other as something other than screennames.

I just spoke to Shyguy for a minute, and he was being visited by a certain suave and debonaire rabble-rouser from here! He'll call me back tonight, or tomorrow if he isn't too tired from laughing with Mr. ______ . He did say that he'll "be there at least another 2 days", which in my book sounds like he might be out of there sooner rather than later! Yay!

I'll do an update after I hear back from him, and give particulars to those of you who g.mail'd me!

I've been thinking about jumpin in the Yugo and driving up to see him. If I don't get up there Merkin, Tell him I wish him all the best.

Thank you all for all the prayers and best wishes. I am doing well and well update and fill you in on my ordeal tommorrow. I have alot to say on what has all gone down in all of this and how pdxradio and others played a pivotal role in my fast recovery. Alot has occurred and alot has changed for what I feel will be for the best for my future. Expect a long and brutally honest post/thread Monday sometime by mid afternoon hopefully.
