-Obama tops $40 million for March.
-Network of donors toped 1.3 million individuals.
-218,000 NEW donors in March.
-Highest number of donors contributing $200 or less.
-Obama has cut Hillary's lead in PA to just 9%.

Folks, what we have here is a people's candidate. Average people of average means are donating AND volunteering to his campaign.

"a middle age Democrat who spent his youth smoking crack and pot."

That's a false statement. Obama has never admited to smoking crack. So if you have proof that Obama has smoked crack, please grace us with your source.

And, do you really think for a second that John McCain hasn't smoked weed before? Let's put McCain under oath and ask him about his past drug use? At least Obama is man enough to come out and admit it, unlike the hypocrite Republicans that say one thing but do another.

My question is: "Will that be good enough to get him the nomination?"

I take nothing for granted in politics anymore. Not after these past two presidential elections. It's kind like another sports analogy, sometimes the best team doesn't win.

Until I know for sure in Nov. that Obama has been voted in will I actually believe he has won.

If McCain comes out on top it will feel like 9-11 all over again for me.

Chris, what these stats show is that there is a movement, a grass roots movement to put an everyday person in office. Forget the polls, look at the money. These are average folks of average means donating money to someone they obviously support and will vote for no matter what. I honestly believe that Obama's tougher task will be to beat Hillary than it will be to beat McCain.

Maybe you should read his books, then you'd know he never said he smoked crack. The accusation that he smoked crack is a racist jab by someone on this board with ZERO credibility.

Obama admitted to smoking weed and using cocaine. Most informed people know this, and as usual, the right is uninformed once again.

George W. Bush was a drunk for years before laying off the sauce. That didn’t disqualify him from being president. To say that because Obama smoked pot years ago disqualifies him from being president is absurd. Rather than creating these totally unrealistic standards, let’s be real about it. Marijuana use among young people was rampant in the 70’s – just look at all the best objective data collected on the matter. Obama was no different than nearly half of those in high school and college in the 1970’s. I don’t want an active drunk or junkie at the helm of the republic, but let’s be real about it. And to imply that Obama used crack cocaine is racist, period.

" Time to log off and catch up on the real world with O'Reilly."

Ah. Ya beat me to it. I'm glad you decided to go that route too because you and I know where this would go; You would say something, not be able to back it up with anything factual, then you would get indignant at my questioning how you got there ( for example; What is it that you'd fear would happen if someone that took drugs became President?" ) and you wouldn't know that either. I don't have the patience to ask while you avoid, and you don't have the ability answer.

Let's generously call it a draw.

Why are Republicans SO WRONG all the time though? Why is it always Democrats on this board who have to CONSTANTLY correct the bullshit from Republicans so much? I mean FACTUAL stuff? And when that becomes too sticky, then the point shifts to " What's the difference? " As if the perfectly legitimate answer to that would EVER be given proper consideration. It NEVER is. This is where you lose me and any support you pretend to want. You are just wrong too often.

It's not necessary to use or see cocaine and crack to understand they are different drugs and are used in very different segments of society. Cocaine is usually associated with white people who have some money. Crack is associated with blacks, usually in the ghetto area of town. When someone states that Obama smoked crack, when they are really trying to bring up the point that he used cocaine, it comes off to me as a racial stereotype issued by someone that's terribly uninformed, and quite possibly doing it on purpose.

The only hard drug obama specifically says he didn't use is Heroin. Besides crack is just a form of cocaine.

And it shows his contempt for the law, their illegal.

And it brings up the question, how did he support his habit, did he sell to other users?

Obama admitted to using TWO types of drugs: Pot and cocaine. To infer that he did anything beyond that is speculation without any hard proof.

Let's see what McCain's answers are on his past drug use. 10 bucks say he either refuses to answer all together, or lies about it like Bush did.

Nwokie, I'm surprise you're even employable with how dumb you come off. I feel sorry for your employer.

I feel like I’m reading a dispatch from the FOX NEWS/Republican National Committee Public Relations Apparatus. Should we ask every candidate from president to dog catcher to provide the public with a detailed list of drugs they’ve ever used which are cited under the Controlled Substances Act?

If we are going to accuse Senator Obama of being a drug dealer, then I guess it’s time we revisit ancient history and raise the same question of our current president. I’ve heard plenty of compelling rumors of his past dalliances with cocaine, not to mention being arrested by law enforcement in Maine for drunk driving as well as fathering a baby out of wedlock. Plus those oldies but goodies dereliction of duty and being AWOL while in the Texas Air National Guard. George W. Bush never showed contempt for the law -- never.

I can’t wait to see the Swift Boat Hate Machine waging its war of misinformation coupled with Jesse Helms like race bating propaganda. I can see their commercials now, a portrait of a faux Muslim, drug dealing African American inner city thug that supports terrorists and who refuses to salute the flag or sing God Bless America. How dandy is that.

It’s obvious I don’t hold Mr. Bush in high regard. He’s been the most polarizing political figure since Richard Nixon. But after 8 years of Karl Rove, Tom DeLay, and Dick Cheney, it’s time to fight fire with fire.
