Would HOT HEAD Johnny Mc be a good pick for Prez? Do we really want someone in office with the button to blow up the world to have a short fuse?

Just wondering.....

Actually, no matter how you slice it, dice it and parse it out, just getting rid of the shrub is a major improvement. No matter how much McC flip flops on his long standing policy, no matter the fact that he is not whom I will vote for in November, no matter how much he endears Bush policy in order to compete in the election, Mr. McCain has legitimate credentials, unlike George the shrub whom "given a few more brains might be a half wit." (quote stolen from 1890 Speaker of the House about the sitting President). If he somehow pulls off a win (and I doubt he can based on nothing more than the backlash against Bush and the lack of oversight and budget constraint over 12 years of Republican Congressional majority) I do believe he can be an effective leader albeit not as effective as Barack Obama because Barack has a lot less baggage than either McCain or Clinton. Insofar as uniting the country and working across the aisle, I would rank the candidates 1.Obama 2.McCain 3.Cllinton.

The media wishes to maintain the suspense over the Democratic nomination, but I really think that Hillary's chances are slim with regards to being the D. nominee. Given the choice between Obama and McC., as I said, I would choose Obama. Fresh blood. The fewest negatives. I don't get caught up in the muckraking and rhetoric of election negatives anywhere as much as the lions share of heavy posters seem to, but you asked, I answered.

AESOP:
We hang the petty thieves and appoint the great ones to public office.

ALBERT EINSTEIN:
Yes, we have to divide up our time like that, between our politics and our equations. But to me our equations are far more important, for politics are only a matter of present concern. A mathematical equation stands forever.

President Nixon had a good temper, didn't hurt his being a great President. President Eisenhower had a pretty good temper, and he turned out OK, same with Teddy Roosevelt.

Wait a minute. "Hot Head Johnny Mc? I thought Mr. McCain was "your guy?"

What a crooked web woven by such a lousy poseur.

Associate with leftists long enough, Trixter, and now you've become one. But to the far left's credit, at least they admit their views. Your duplicitous behaviour now appears to ape Mr. Larry Craig, the one who tried to cover his tracks with his 'wide stance' defense.

You both claim to be republicans, yet you both behave exactly the opposite.

I am less worried about his temper than I am about his propensity to put his foot in his mouth. With "bomb, bomb Iran" and "we could be in Iraq for 100 years" and being confused about who the enemy is in Iraq, he's given the Democrats plenty of ammunition to turn the November election into a rout.

Now if this was Obama I was talking about the EXTREME RIGHT would be all over it! Bimbo would be fired up about it and Insannity would be talking about it 24/7.

It doesn't look good for my guy.....

Bill Clinton has a HUGE temper. LBJ had a volcano of a temper. SO what! What great leader HASN'T had a temper? I'll bet even MLK Jr. went off a few times behind closed doors.

I'd rather have a person with a temper, some passion, than some fake Marvin Milquetoast who has to pretend they're angry.

Give me some of that fire in the belly!

Bill Clinton to a heckler in Medford: 'Do you want to give this speech?' The crowd roared. Deane slithered out of the room.

Sydney Schanberg was awarded a Pulitzer Prize for his 1975 coverage of political and social chaos in Cambodia. After first reading his thoughtful article from 2000, and then watching the accompanying video of the confrontation with Dolores Apodaca Alfond, you may have a completely different view of the Senator from Arizona. After examining the evidence, how do you see John McCain, his temper and the future of POW, MIA & Veterans with him in office?
