Considering , except in very rare circumstances, the VP nominee has little affect on voters, except sometimes on the VP's home state, the demo's are wise to have a VP nominee from a large red state.

Yeah, Amus, I did hear part of his interview on Hartmann. I thought he was absolutely right on about energy policy. It's rare that I hear a politician mouth the words of what I actually believe! I think I've said some of what he said before. Andrew

I heard Bloomberg's name being tossed around as well. While I don't know much about Bloomberg, I do know that he's interested in solutions, not partisan leadership that divides.
