Rather than load up the original vintage radio thread, I thought I'd start with this new bunch from the central Willamette Valley, plus a couple of lately-found Eugene/Cottage Grove items. |

I always get a kick out of the exaggerated coverage maps. Thank you for all the postings. |

Seguedad: Man, that KMCM letter has really got me thinking of what owner Norm Aldred had that he could distribute. I worked for Norm shortly after the call change to KCYX. This could have been Norm's controversial commentary he would record. It was said later to me, it was one of Norm's commentaries that caused someone to take a pot shot though the newsroom window. |

Craig, wish I knew, but I didn't get to KODL until 1974. Half-hour tapes sound long for a commentary, unless he was sending a bunch on each tape. |

This is scary that someone kept one of my old business cards! KCCS actually had older ones. |

Broadway, I knew it was just a matter of time before someone recognized one of their own cards. Wish I could remember how I came by that one, but I was hitting up everyone in sight for anything radio during that era. It could have been at an OAB function or a sales seminar, or someone in Salem who snagged stuff for me. Anyway, I'm delighted to have kept it in trust all these years. |

Seguedad: It's great you're posting envelops with the station logo and a postmark date. You can then match up with the business cards and know when people were at the stations. Keep it up! |
