Whats YOUR favorite dessert??

At Marie Calender they have the best Dutch Apple Pie. Its an apple Pie with a brownsugar topping! So good! Infact I will go and get a dutch apple pie to go. It tastes really good with vanilla Ice Cream, and I even like to put a huge slice of Chedder cheese on the top! DELICIOUS!

I also think Basin&Robbins have the best hot fudge sundays. Had one last night, and my god was it good!!

I don't know if I could narrow it down to just one!

I love a good cheesecake. One that is thick and solid. Put cherries on it and I'm good to go.

I really enjoy a good Key Lime Pie. The tarter it is the better!

I had the most excellent tiramisu at a little family owned Italian restaurant in Hudson, MA (about 35 mi outside of Boston)

At a restaurant called Dailey's in Atlanta I had a desert called CHOCOLATE CHARLOTTE. Here is the description from their website; Fudge brownie shell filled with a dark chocolate mousse and topped with homemade whipped cream I remember them shaving milk chocolate over the top of it too. It's a huge piece. I've had it 4 times and could only finish it once!!

OK. All that being said, I don't eat desert near as often as I'd like to. It drives my blood sugar thru the roof!

Has anybody here eaten at the Claim Jumper by Clackamas Mall?

Good food and HUGE portions too. As big as the dinner portions are, the deserts are bigger.

The chocolate layer cake is 6 or 7 layers thick. One piece is enough for a party of 6!!

I have to go with cheesecake too.

(Believe it or not, Carl's Jr has a cheesecake slice that comes in a sealed plastic container(!) that is quite dreamy. Almost a 9 on a 10 scale.)

Yeah, you can add that to my list too!

My wife yells at me because I too much of her dough and she doesn't get enough cookies out of a batch!

Edit add: Skep got his reply in before I did. I was talking about the cookie dough!

Hey SKYBILL, I keep hearing good things about the Claim Jumper, people cant stop bragging about how good it is. I think I'll go try it tomorrow night. Hope it lives up to the hype! I just got some new Tires on the Yugo and it will give me an excuse to drive out to Clackamas.

Sometimes for flavor I will use the peanut butter chips instead of chocolate chips......but of course that is not on weight watchers though.....sigh.

Well let's see--yesterday was Pi Day (3.14), so in celebration I consumed 1/4 of a Chocolate Cream pi from Safeway, multiplied by the radius of the pi, then multiplied by two.

So the circumference of the Chocolate Cream Pi, by my math, is 31.416 inches, or just over a yard. That also takes into account the fact that the pi was 10" in diametre, which naturally gives a 5" radius.

*grin*

I don't like cheese cakes, but everyone has their own likes and dislikes. I like a good peanut butter, crunchy, covered with karo syrup.

I make a mean P'butter Pie, but too sweet for me.
Just ate a WHOLE blueberry Torte, so that isn't my favorite for a few days... Not sure I have a fave anymore, was a buffet that served REAL european cakes and pastries, and I would pay the nine bucks and just eat desserts. Sadly, they closed. Hell they were worth 20 bucks.......
love petit fours.... Am a sucker for a good dessert, Gradmas streudel was great, but she died before I was old enough to appreciate it... Aunt carried on, but she's gone as well.......

What a drag it is getting old........

Key Lime Pie. The secret is to put real whole limes in the pie. I make it all the time for friends, and let me just say I've NEVER had complaints.

I'd love a piece, would taste good right after that bowl of cookie dough!

Man I wish!

I just splurged with a mint skinny cow ice cream sandwich. Pretty tasty actually and with only 15 calories from fat!

Ever have "Dryers" Cookie Dough Ice cream???

Talk about heaven on Earth. Another thing I like to do is bake some of those Nestle Tollhouse cookies. Right when they are hot and out of the oven, I throw them in a bowl and put 2 scoops of Vanilla Ice Cream on them, and then throw on some chocolate syrup. This tastes so good it should be illegal!!

My all time favorite dessert WAS Ben & Jerry's Wavy Gravy ice cream but sadly it is now in the flavor graveyard. It was the best nut flavored icecream with a hazlenut fudge and carmel ripple with bits of almonds. Freaking awesome to die for!

Last night we had a party at my parents to celibrate me and my brothers birthdays which are a month apart and had probally what I would consider my second favorite dessert which is an old family recipe called peanut patch cake.

Peanut Patch Cake has yellow cake mix, vanilla pudding, peanut butter, peanuts, chocolate chips, and dates. Its either dense and bready like or if you double up on the peanut butter, chocolate chips, and dates its heavy, dense, and oh so ooey goey. Its fantastic slightly warmed in the microwave with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

But I like a good Key Lime Pie, Pecan Pie, Sweet Potato Pie, and a Tiramisu anyday of the week.

When it comes to fruity desserts the Brambleberry Pie at Gustav's is very good.

When I was a kid, a long time ago, my parents didnt have much money, but every year we would go to Bixby Okla and pick Okra, green beans, corn and Peaches for canning or freezing. Later we would make home made icecream, and top it with the frozen peaches, it was sooo good.

I cant take it anymore, I was on a diet BUT THIS THREAD RUINED MY DIET. YOu guys are making me hungry. Im off to BakinRobbins for a double scoop Hot fudge sunday. One scoop will be with Mint Chocolate Chip Ice cream, the other will be with World Class Chocolate(my favorite flavor) I'll let you know how it tastes. The sad part is, Im lactose intolerant. BUT i Still pig down ice cream! I guess I will just deal with the consequences later. Its too bad my Wife will have to deal with the "aftermath" after I eat ice cream. I feel so sorry for her.
