That's a state contract, President Bush had nothing to do with it. It was awarded by the Demo Gov and Demo Mayor.

I noticed it's raining outside right now.

Damn, must be Bush's fault.

I really believe that if Bush got the country 100% out of debt and the treasury had such a huge surplus of funds that no American ever again had to pay income tax, brought all the soldiers home and brokered complete and permanent world peace.......

You all would still Bitch about him.

I'll bet if we started a thread about Sesame Street within 5 posts it would somehow be Bush's fault.

It really gets old.

Why can't we have a discussion about something without it being Bush's fault?

And you all complain about Herb turning threads into an anti abortion discussion.

Hell, he's NO MATCH for the Bush Bitchers©

The same Demo Mayor and Gov that took money to repair and maintain levees and used it to build a casino. And refused to activate the national guard, or allow the president to activate it. The same demo Gov and Mayor that refused to follow Fema advice and installed emergency generators in basements, The same Demo Gov and Mayor that refused to allow school buses to be used to evacuate people. The same Demo Gov and mayor that thought having Hurricane parties were more important that planning for an evacuation.

Nwokie, I agree La. Democrats are no better than La. Republicans, but Bush should have also stepped in. There is plenty of blame to go around, but I guess nothing will happen until Obama is elected.

Oh, does it bother you guys to be reminded about these things?

It damn well better, or we are in for more of the same.

That's an education problem, plain and simple. Sorry to be blunt about it, but I've really no other option. Can't make good choices, without having everything on the table.

As long as there are people trying to make it all not look so bad, we need other people to slap them on the head and say, "Yeah well, look at the place! It's really that bad and do we really want more of that? Of course we don't --remember that."

Anybody having trouble with this is a potential McCain or Clinton vote. To me, that's an education problem.

Most everybody here has said "fire them all". Why do we say this?

BECAUSE THEY SUCK, RIGHT?

So, do we really mean that, or what?

I personally mean it. Don't want Clinton or McCain, or any combination that would get along with them.

McCain is going to present as the GOP favored half of the whole bad Bush picture. Really Bush 2.0, but maybe nicer.

Clinton is not going to be Bush 2.0, but she might be Bill Clinton, only meaner!

IS THERE REALLY A HUGE DIFFERENCE?

If we then come to acceptance on just how bad the Bush Presidency really is, that leaves us with...

Obama.

Why?

Because Bush sucked enough to piss nearly everybody off, meaning we absolutely know we just don't want to go there.

The only one on the table, at this time, that promises that is Obama.

So that's why it gets said. It's not a dig or anything like that.

No it really doesn't bother me to hear about them.

What bothers me is that EVERY thread turns into a Bush Bitchers© session. That's what gets really old.

Everybody here has heard the complaints at least 10,000 times, it just gets so repetitive.

Here's the real story on the Katrina clean-up..

"As Katrina Aid stalls, Firm Cleans up"

"Securities and Exchange Commission records show no public officials among ICF’s leading shareholders. Its lobbyists include former Rep. Robert Livingston, R-La., who has offices in Washington and the state Capitol, and local insider Randy Haynie, whose clients include Philip Morris and pharmaceutical company Pfizer.

I am still an Obama supporter but....

I am starting to think that no matter what happens in November we are fucked no matter how you disect and look at the future of this country. Both sides are to blame but the scales tip heavily in Dubya's direction. Its gonna be a long time before we pull ourselves out of this mess we are currently in.

I still mainly blame Bush and his moronic financial supporters and the hands that are up the puppets ass.

SkyBill: "Yeah, but then they will be complaining about McCain for the next 8 years!"

Yes, but we'd be just complaining about McCain's decision to invade Iran, NOT how he suckered us into supporting him in a BS reason to invade Iran.

HUGE difference.

Just watch. Once Obama or McCain becomes president, you will find members of this forum spliting into different groups -- conservatives, Republicans, Moderate Democrats, and liberals -- instead of 2 groups today -- most of us in one group and dumb supporters of our dumb president in the other.
