Last tune on GW before KINK simulcast: Volare by Cousin Wayne Newton. It was Talker Ralph Stedman's campaign song. (He--Stedman--was "running" for President.) Then, after an ABC newsbreak, on came PD Steve Wexler to announce the demise of KGW; then GM Kenn Brown did the same. But the Great Western had been in a broadcast coma for two years already since going talk. Now 620 is even worse. What a shame.
