The Treasury Department says the federal deficit swelled to $263.3 billion in the first five months of this budget year as record spending during the period outpaced record revenues.

The department's latest snapshot of the government's balance sheets, released Wednesday, shows that the deficit for the budget year that began Oct. 1 was up a whopping 62 percent from the red ink of $162.2 billion for the corresponding five-month period last year.

If Congress doesn't grow some hair on its chest, this will continue through the rest (7 months) of the current budget.

Lets have a yard sale, first of all sell the drilling rights to ANWAR, for say 500 billion,
then we open up coal mining in Utah for another 500 billion, next we start charging other countries for the right to use GPS, should be able to get a few billion for that. And since the US navy protects everyone's shipping rights we start taking a toll, want to ship a tanker of oil from the middle east to Japan or Russia, we charge $10.00 per barrel. That should about pay off the deficit.

While we all choke to death on the smoke and soot.

I like the idea of charging for protection on the high seas, but the Republicans will block it in Congress. Why? Because the Saudi's will object to it.

Raising taxes on millionaires would halve the deficit right away. Eliminate spending on the Iraq war and other non-essential military waste and we might even be in the black.

Ending the war on drugs thats good for a couple of hundred million dollars a year. Charging other countries to use the rights to GPS also sounds reasonable. Then end the Bush tax cuts. I doubt that still cuts it though.

Remember when the Republicans told the American People THEY were the party of fiscal discipline?

Start cutting defense spending. We need a strong military, not a bloated military with every weapons system it can dream up.

I can solve all this right now. Just print more MONEY!! Then pay off the 263 Billion. Simple!

I know that sounds crazy but that's exactly what the Feds are doing right now! They're printing money with nothing to back it with. Where do think all that money came from yesterday when they pumped 200 Billion into the Stock Market? The Crash will be coming soon.

And it's going to hurt BIG TIME!

Same with the refund. It's just funny money. Pump some in, hope the value of it overall does not diminish more than the value of the additional bills.

Bush has always said he wanted an "ownership society." Problem is, he didn't plan on the ownership being foreign.

DUHbya has always wanted to be a DICKtator.

So when the CRASH comes (its gonna probally be sooner than later, I am guessing in less than 18 months time) how will the whole scenario play out? How will the collective population ie average joe deal with it. Will people come together and deal with it or will we fight with one another and or the federal government. Will the new administration make the right choices or piss poor ones? Will we revolt or will we melt down further? How will the world economy deal with our crash?

Shyguy: I wish it was as far away as 18 months. I've heard from several different sources that the planned melt down will occur in October, which is in 7 months.

Just heard today on TV Network news, the housing market is in far worse shape than we've been told. We're going to slip down fast with oil prices going sky high and the Dollar falling, making the oil even more expensive. This makes food way more expensive to truck.

Expect shortages in the coming months as the system breaks down from the weight of all the debt we're ringing up. The bill we end up paying will be our Country taken away.

This makes me SO MAD! I didn't go out and Charge! Charge! Charge!, like these FOOLS did! Now we're ALL going to end up paying Piper DEARLY!

Craig are you the one that is the fellow C2C listener. I'll be honest though I haven't listened for along time but I seem to recall your the only other devotee here to that once great show.

Again though I want to know your perspective on what will happen, how it will all go down, and how we will deal. Give me your picture of the scenario?

Shyguy: Yes I'm a fellow C2C listener but what we're talking about here goes way back with me. For over 30 years I've had a gut feeling about all this coming. Don't ask me how I know, I just do. The C2C program just puts it in focus. Tells me where we are in this time line.

The biggest down fall in predicting the future is NOT the event, it's when the event will happen. That's where most futurists fail. With that in mind, I believe with this situation at hand, we are headed for Big Trouble and soon.

I can't tell you how the order of the events will happen. I'd say look for food shortages at your store as one of the first signs. Empty sheeves of your favorite brand that are never refilled when you return again and again. You won't hear about this on the news since it will be very suttle.

When things get even worse, all Banks will close for a day and when they reopen the Dollar will be worth a lot less. I've heard from 50c down to 10c. This might be then the Feds introduce the new Amero as a two tear money system. Then gradually faze out the Dollar entirely. With the Dollar virtually worthless, you won't hear many crying at its demise.

This might trigger the up coming Stock Market Crash. When this happens. People here and around the world will be STUNNED! October has always been a bad month for the Stock Market in history, so that's when I believe "They" (New World Order) will start this cascading event. This will be even worse than the 1929 Crash since we're so interconnected with other Countries. They will be swept up with us, as Country after Country Cashes, when their markets open around the world!

It will be a World Crises! Marshal Law will be the order of the day to keep citizens from looting just about everything, everywhere. Looting and killing will be the norm unfortunately. Cities will not be safe as the population moves to smaller communities and the rural areas. With most of the electricity out and no food moving on the highways, most people will start growing gardens and trade for other things.

The entire World will be in Crises with us. We will need leadership to bring Order in the World again. "The New World Order" will be revealed for the first time. The borders of Canada & Mexico will come down. We will become one people of the North American State of this New World Order.

I'll stop here because I believe it will get even worse! I don't even want to think about what comes next..............
