This has to be a huge deal for Fox; they must be celebrating in the aisles! The last time power was interrupted like this was the mid-70s when ABC finally rose to the top.

Fox has been tied for #1 with CBS for several weeks. All alone in fourth place is NBC, whose top rated show last week was called, "Biggest Loser"! :-)

Wait a minute.

First the left tells conservatives 'If you're so upset over media bias at the monopolies of ABC, NBC & CBS, then set up your OWN network.'

Conservatives oblige, only to be vilified by the left as liberals lose the battle for viewers.

What a joke the left has become.

A national party no more is right.

The fairy tale of a liberal bias in the media is just that, a fairy tale. Conservatives just seem to have a problem with the truth bias, so they had to set up Fox News to oblige those that can't handle the truth.

"The fairy tale of a liberal bias in the media is just that..."

Read 'Bias' by Emmy-award winner Bernard Goldberg. He actually worked at CBS for years, alongside people like Dan Rather.

I believe him more than you. He was there.

Guys, these ratings refer to the Fox Television Network, not the Fox News Channel. Sheesh.

Bernard Goldberg is as biased as they come. Him calling out other people's biases would be like the grand wizard of the KKK calling Rev. Wright a bigot.

Yup, the ages-old "pot calling the kettle black" paradox.

But I think the mere fact that CBS and FOX are tied at number 1 speaks volumes about how low-quality national TV programming really has become.

Wasn't it Sen. Dirksen who in the 1960s stated that TV has become a vast wasteland? If only he was alive today to see how true his prophecy has become. (Truth be told, I think the quality and creativity of TV shows from his era far exceeds that of shows nowdays! Sorry, but "American Idol" can *never* replace Dick Clark's original "Bandstand"!)

Oy vey........

It was FCC Chairman Newton Minnow that said that in 1961.

Of course there's no possibility the guy may have had an ax to grind and is just a big bag of air like the rest of the conservative movement.

What does this have to do with CBS, Fox or NBC primetime television?

Fifty years ago, Edward R. Murrow warned that without a commitment to quality programming, TV would become "just lights and wires in a box." Thank goodness that technology intervened, with solid state devices replacing vacuum tubes (the lights) and printed circuit boards replacing most of the wires!
