It should be CRYSTAL CLEAR to EVERYONE that jammin is flipping to an all sports. The question should not be will it flip, the question should be When will it flip??
Jammin had a nice run, but their time is limited.

All Access is pretty good proof.

James Derby will oversee both stations. No launch date for the all-sports format will be determined until it's known what date Rose City Radio will officially acquire Portland rights to ESPN Radio.

R&R might also be a reliable source for such things and they confirmed it yesterday as well.

Does anyone here check the trades before labelling someone else's post a lie or a rumor????

I see nothing on the R&R website that indicates a change to Sports, only the loss of Mark Adams.

That's because there has been no official announcement of a format change.

It may happen as soon as the ESPN contracts are signed, sealed and delivered. That may happen in a few days, or a few weeks.

Hey smooch, Thats the Beauty of PDX RADIO, stuff gets leaked on PDX radio before it hits R&R. Infact I have known a few Dj's who found out that they were getting fired because it was leaked on PDX radio the day before they got fired!

Nobody claimed that the news of a switch came from any trade magazine. And nobody called anyone a liar.

Actually - tdanner claimed that R&R reported the Mark Adams departure (actual topic of this thread) as true. I also assumed that radionut was calling the edger's report a rumor, since once again, it was the actual topic of this thread.

As to the format shift - I said in another thread that many of my highly reliable sources inside various radio buildings are all saying the format switch to All sports is coming soon. Not that I knew it for fact.

When threads get hijacked - it is often hard to tell which comment belongs to which idea.

Hey, this is entertaining, and it's not all smoke. There are at least two people posting on this thread with definite insider knowledge. There are issues and decisions that are yet to be resolved. When people are defensive and combative, sometimes it's because there's something at stake. And sometimes they're just being trolls.

I have better things to do than question the honesty of anyone and certainly not someone with the credentials of Ms. Danner. I did however think she was referring to the format change and that it might be something I either missed on the R&R website or that was only in the publication itself.

Sorry for the confusion.

I make the mistakes sometimes in posting comments about the original thread topic, long after its been hijacked.
