Wow!

This is the kind of thing I'm thinking right now. Thought I would link the diary for some discussion.

Either they have a pre-arranged side deal where she'll get kissie-kissie with Mr. Obama between now and the convention, or it's evidence of implosion by the democrats.

Actually, it's evidence of problems with Clinton.

Clinton does not equal Democrats.

Mrs. Clinton made a similar comment a few days ago that Ed Schultz read on-air. Something about both she and Mr. McCain being ready to lead.

She's not making any friends among those who she might be counting on later in the year. I never got the whole 'scorched earth' policy thing. She's already infuriated some African-American leaders by waving away Mr. Obama's credentials.

Missing_kskd, I am definitely not the only one howling about her campaigning for McCain. :0)

It is interesting to see how different folks see this situation. If my little side-trip through some random popular blogs is any indication, younger bloggers worry that Obama is in grave danger from Hillary. They are framing it in the stark, gritty and unfortunately realistic context of absolute power.

So, naturally, the very real doubts about the death of Ron Brown are front and center. There is an intense distrust of her that has been building for quite awhile, but this is an unexpected twist. It is interesting how betrayed the older adults feel versus the mortal danger the youth sense for Obama.

"So, naturally, the very real doubts about the death of Ron Brown are front and center."

And Vince Foster, too.
And the 'missing' 900 FBI files on her enemies.

"The American people should feel reassured that the top leadership of the Air Force got to the bottom of this, did it in a hurry and was completely honest with no back-covering at all in its straightforward report on this accident."

AFPS

I am not saying anything new, but that is one heaping helping of qualifiers. It is not the sort of verbal gymnastics one would usually expect from a grieving friend.

To bring us back to the current situation, it is interesting how the corporate interests managed to keep the hardcore zealots off of the Republican ticket -- so far. The predicted collapse of the GOP has not yet come to pass.

I do have some concerns about the Democratic Party finding some unity and positive vibes again. The rhetoric is flying on both sides. Meanwhile, John McCain is scooting along without any money, and now, with only one opponent. As usual, when opportunity knocks, the Democrats are fighting out of earshot.

It was bound to come down to this moment when the grassroots DNC had to stand up to the corporate DLC. It will be very interesting to see how this all plays itself out. A mass exodus is already planned for super delegates, so perhaps they feel like any potential damage can be fixed before June, and the facts will save Obama before November.

In order to make sure she goes away for good, they might be letting Hillary completely destroy herself. The party knows her campaign is run by corporate GOP spin machines. They also know it is in shambles, and they are fighting in public. The party knows that she played into the hand of a conservative Canadian government. The party knows she made this an election based on race in the racially charged climate of Ohio.

So, I guess I will pop this batch of popcorn. Oh yeah, there is real butter too. :0)

Have I mentioned today how much I enjoy Countdown with Keith Olbermann and Margaret Carlson? Here is tonight's Countdown including the Clinton & NAFTA story with written capsules in The News Hole. The clips are also available on Daily Kos.

Finally, someone in big media stops swooning and speaks truth to power.
