Is it my crazy imagination, or is Movin's playlist expanding? I just heard Michael Jackson's "Off The Wall" this morning, and I can't remember the last time I've heard that song on the radio, even on Charlie. |

Typical consultant double-speak. Like you really expected Burns would say his new format sucks pond water or something like that. |

I said it was interesting, not necessarily correct. You think they will pick up and air the New Seacrest syndicated show? That along with "TMZ" should fit right in with the audience they are after. |

And the one good air talent Portland Movin had they let go recently! How is that building listener relationships!!!! |
|

Yeah, Why would they let Stacey go if they had any plans on keeping the format around???? Now they have no jocks no nothing. Those part timers are also no longer on the station. That station is a complete jukebox, I can't imagine they will keeping this station around for much longer. |

Hmmmmm. You could allow users to logon to your website and make requests similar to that of a jukebox. Put a music list on the site of choices and registered users can make one request per hour. It could then list the time it will play. If no requests are present default it back to automation. If the request is already queued then just list the time. User Interactive. Track the requests for future playlists. At the very least maybe just post up the days playlist and times they will air so listeners can scan through it for tunes they really want to hear. |

Yes I see your point, but you would only be able to select from the provided list and provided those are not on the list then it's not a problem! You could also setup no repeat rules for artists/songs as well. If it's jukebox radio make it user interactive then. Plug in your email address for spam and get a request ticket. |

How come MOVIN 99.7 in San Francisco is doing very well, not MOVIN 107.5? |

There ya go, partner up with AT&T like on Idol and text your request to StationXYZ. Could be some revenue in that. No random email requests though. Have a fill in form on the website for those not wanting to register that will email it to a specific recipient. That way you still drive them to your website in order to make the request. Gotta drive that traffic into your website, increase web traffic, drive up cost of advertising based on activity. For younger formats, keep everything about the station on the website, drive it all through the website, todays youth live on the internet. Make the sight fun & entertaining with lots of extra's to keep them there, lots of flash animation, video's, etc. etc. Just make that site so damn cool that people will flock to it. Online only contests and promotions, vendor discount coupon's only available from your website, etc. etc. |

OH GOD. sounds awful! Quit giving these radio company any ideas Darktemper. A format like that would truely mark the end of radio. |

Hey, if they want an Ipod station then at least let the listeners drive the thing! That at least would have the potential for attracting an audience! LIVE JOCKS is the best choice though!!!!!! |
