So, with the signed deal between Clear Channel and Seacrest which station will be the first Idol FM? Better throw in a healthy dose of TMZ to go with it!

"Ryan has found a way to use his entrepreneurial instincts to address the need to give people a reason to find terrestrial radio," Seacrest attorney Scott Zolke told the Hollywood Reporter on Friday."

Translation:

Press Release [For Immediate Distribution]

For years, Ryan has struggled with selling himself. It has not always been possible to sell himself to every buyer, all the time, until today!

Ryan has finally done it! Every part of him is now packaged, priced and ready for immediate delivery nation wide.

Breaking past his personal goal of selling himself so completely has taken a lot of work, passion and personal investment. Ryan is confident his aggressive ego growth combined with the best pricing will meet the service demands of the entire industry on a daily basis for many years to come.

Critics say even they didn't think reaching that level of service commitment was possible, yet were quick to note the completeness of his offering.

Ryan is perfectly positioned to deliver for the entire industry, on demand 24-7.

There is life after Stern, and it goes by the name of Ryan.

Back in the early 1990s, WGR 550 (Buffalo, NY) did a format change stunt that involved karaoke! I remember reading this in Popular Communications. Part of the stunt was that they turned their AM Stereo back on for one last time and encouraged listeners to dig out their AM Stereo radios from the closet. The next day, they went to a full-time News/Talk format.

Funny, the guy does nothing but work his ass off and everyone hates him....

Well then, care to share how you feel about him with us, instead of banging on others?

For the record, I don't care about Seacrest or Idol one way or the other.

Why should I care about him one way or another? He is just a guy that started out in radio and is working his way up. Isnt that what everyone in radio wants?

But he is a celebrities and bashing on them makes us common folk feel better.

Could you imagine if celebrities had a website where they make fun of us for working too much?

Ryan is being packaged as, and may become, this generation's Dick Clark. Smooth, vanilla, a living case of product placement, and an effective MC for the mainstream commercial zeitgeist of the times.

Dick Clark has more credibilty. To me, Ryan Searest is a no talent-ass clown. ANYONE could do his job, he just got lucky and was in the right place at the right time.

Took you two days to come back with that? Did you spend the last two days trying to take a job that according to you anyone could do?

Seriously, back up your claim and head down there and take the job.

Oh For Crying out loud MC74!!!!
My whole point was that Seacrest was at the right place at the right time, which is how a lot of people end up making the millions, IT IS LUCK, not talent.
Now if I've offended you by clowning on your hero than I apologise. And yes It did take me two days to come back to this baord and reply, I have a life, do you?

Wow, this certainly has become laughable. Ryan Seacrest, while not the most talented jock out there, is doing what we are all not - mornings in market #2, going syndicated, and is the host of one of the highest-rated television shows of all time. Sure, not everyone likes him, but it's obvious there are many more who do, else he wouldn't be where he is. He set his sights for the big time, and he's got it...can't blame him for that. Do I like him? No. I think he's an over the top, liner card reading puker. I will, however, give him credit for getting where he is. He's making about $20,000,000 per year to puke those liner cards and pimp Coca Cola.

no freaking kidding, I can't stand the guy, but my jealousy doesn't cloud my judgement as others seem to have a problem with.
Kudos to the guy. He is living the dream we all had when we went into this biz isn't he?
Why knock him?
Pure unadulterated childish jealousy.
