"IT'S OVER!"

You'll likely eat your words yet again, Trixter.

Mr. Huckabee may just end up in a position like on the Supreme Court in the upcoming McCain Administration.

With his ability to help reverse Roe v. Wade, and he most certainly would, that'd even surpass Mr Huckabee becoming president.

And I will be very, very pleased.

I think Huckabee has been merely posturing himself for such a position.

McCain doesn't look electable to me. Not saying it won't be close but Obamamania maybe too much for him to overcome.

What legal qualifications does Huckabee have to sit on The Supreme Court?

Any?

Because if not - and he very well may, but him being a legal scholar was never anything I EVER heard about - so if not, Herb, then you have no right to ever use the phrase " activist judges " as a pejorative. Right? That seems only fair.

Unless, of course, we aren't interested in doing what's fair.

And not to mock one's faith - but Jesus didn't want Huckabee to be President. I think that's clear.

"...Jesus didn't want Huckabee to be President."

Apparently not. When one door closes, the Almighty can open others. And just like I said, this leaves other doors WIDE open, to places where he can REALLY make a difference!

But what about that Supreme Court qualification question? I'm not trying to pick a fight - but that's a pretty big task. One that you yourself recognize even more than I do. Is it only the idea that he is against Roe v Wade that makes you want him seated there?

I suspect the answer is " yes."

And if that is true, Herb, come on - you know that is NOT right on any level.

In your defense thoug Herb, I guess Jesus was fine with Bush being in office for 8 years or so. Maybe, if for no other reason, than he has become the ultimate device to bring on Armageddon.

Or for that matter, Clinton. Or no wait - Bush the 1st...gee...you'd think that pretty much whomever won in the past or future was handpicked by Jesus.

Jesus voted absentee during Nixon though. Probably voted for Nader. That would explain a few things. Plus, how many delegates IS Jesus?

He's probably a superdelegate. I certainly hope so.

My point is that nobody knows the mind of God and everyone should cease saying so.

"Is it only the idea that he is against Roe v Wade that makes you want him seated there?"

It's a good start. But actually, Mr. Huckabee has been a governor for 11 years and re-elected several times.

He's also presided in judging convicted criminals. He has commuted the death sentences of some convicted murderers and has not stopped the court's order of a death sentence for others.

He's particularly well qualified to judge. As a former pastor who takes the consequences of his decisions seriously, I can't think of a better person to sit on the Supreme Court bench with such weighty responsibility, except maybe Robert Bork or Phyllis Schlafly.
