Does anyone have the ratings for Portland and Eugene markets that include the public station listings? Can you post them.

Noncommercial ratings are hidden here:

http://www.rrconline.org/arbitron/

Choose the markets you want from the dropdown menu on the left, click "add to list"..then click "run report"...and it'll give you the 12-plus numbers for the noncommercials in each market, including OPB, KLCC, KBOO, KMHD, KBPS, etc.

To put those numbers in context with the rest of the market, go to:

http://www.radioandrecords.com/RRRatings/

and find the markets you want. It'll give you everything but the noncommercials.

Neither of these sites will give you dayparts or 12+...that's protected subscriber information. But it does give you perspective, and a starting place.

FYI both KLCC and KOPB were second in the last book, but they're powerhouses.

For the handful of markets that I checked, I was surprised that stations playing classical and jazz get somewhat respectable rating. Community and student-operated university stations seem to do very poorly, in some cases not even making it onto this list.

I just checked Eugene-Springfield and did not find KWAX (Classical) on the list...Anybody here know why they are not? I suspect that they should do about as well (in Eugene) as KBPS-FM does in the Portland area.

I have noticed for quite awhile that the RRC list is often not complete. A station with decent ratings during one book might not show up at all in the next one.

KWAX is normally around a 3 share or slightly above.

I'm under the impression that only subscribers are listed on the non-com website. Rating info on Educational Media Foundation's stations used to be there, but they suddenly disappeared from all markets in one book and haven't returned.

Interesting! I hope that I am correct in assuming that even though a station is not reported, that the listener data for that station is still used in the overall ratings calculations.
