I'm revamping the studio and could use a different console.

We just set up a secondary temporary studio and installed one of these little guys - http://www.bswusa.com/proditem.asp?item=AIR2PLUS

ALL RCA I/O though. Under 3k.

Our guys like it.

I know that the Autogram IC-10 I used at KBPS is for sale. This guy is a local and a straight shooter, but feel free to jet me an e-mail off-line if you want a few more details.

I sold my old Quantum QM-8P to a friend in New York just a couple of months ago. Though it has a really good home, I feel kinda dumb for not running it past you first.

The message board alludes to something like it might be taken, Littlesongs. Fortunately for me I'm not in a huge rush. But that is a tough one to pass up. I'll shoot you an email in a bit.

Mikel, that is very close to what I want.

If anyone else even has ideas of relatively local sellers ( I'm out of the loop on where people go to sell used stuff like this besides craigslist or ebay ) I'm all eyes.

would that be a radio studio or a studio for recording music.

multi track system with all channels through the console or a mix output of a computer soundcard using virtual tracks in software?

there are a lot of good choices out there but it really depends on your intended use and how long the tech you are using it with remains viable.

and how much you want to spend.

you might get better suggestions if you are more specific.

Or you could browse the BSW website.

You're right.

Internet radio broadcast that can accommodate multiple audio sources to be streamed. iPods, vinyl ( probably routed through their own dual mixer to create one signal ), mp3s, dual CD player, at least 2 mics ( possibly 5 or 6 for in-studio performances ).

2K and under. I'll be better able to recognize vlaue later though. So I'm open to go above.

I'll add production equipment later. I'm pretty stocked on that. And I will search that site. Thanks.

I won't bog things down here. It was just worth a quick post.

CJ,

Our Church has one of these for sale;
http://www.soundcraft.com/product_sheet.asp?product_id=13

It's not really a broadcast console but it is a good mixer.

We took it out when we put our new sound system in. We replaced it with a Yamaha M7CL digital board.

That Audioarts console looks weird to me. I've been out of the game for a few years, but the LED VU meter seems odd to me. I don't know; is the frame made from durable metal like the traditional slider consoles are?

"The message board alludes to something like it might be taken, Littlesongs." CJ, the reason I gave you a heads up is because I am the only local with dibs. ;0)

I am not as familiar with their newer consoles, but the Soundcraft Bill mentioned might be a good option for what you want to achieve. My main board is an early 80s Series 200 that spent years at WDNU-TV. IMHO, my old British beast is infinitely better than most of the 8x4x2 options available today.
