In a letter to the Republican presidential hopeful, Tom Scholz complains that Huckabee is using his 1970s smash hit song "More Than a Feeling" without his permission.

"Boston has never endorsed a political candidate, and with all due respect, would not start by endorsing a candidate who is the polar opposite of most everything Boston stands for," wrote Scholz, adding that he is supporting Democratic Sen. Barack Obama. "By using my song, and my band's name Boston, you have taken something of mine and used it to promote ideas to which I am opposed. In other words, I think I've been ripped off, dude!"

I've always liked Boston, and now I like them a little bit more.

Boston is a timeless classic. I thought they had some finished new material in the can prior to Brad Delp's death. If that's true I sure wish they would release it, I would love to hear it.

How could they be has-beens when still KGON plays "More Than a Feeling" every hour? :-)

I wonder how Limbaugh has gotten away with using the Pretenders "My City Was Gone" all these years. Crissie Hynde doesn't approve, but she didn't write it.

Yeah seeing as Boston as a band is collectively all vegetarian, members and ardent supporters of PETA and Greenpeace as well ... I can see where they would want to tell Huckabee to pack sand.

As the owner and creator of copyrighted material, Boston has every right in the world to tell Huckabee not to use their work as a theme song to his candidacy.

John Mellancamp also told McCain to quit using his music recently.

I remember when George W. Bush was using the song "Still the One" by Orleans, and they demanded he quit using it. I would think by now that someone in these campaigns would get permission from the artist before using their work to avoid any bad pub.

That's an insult to each of those artists!

We need to find songs by more appropriate "artists" like the Spears sisters, those out-of-work boy bands, Milli Vanilli, David Hasselhoff, Mrs. Miller, American Idolist has-beens, or some other sucky singers.
