Congress' approval fell to just 22 percent, equaling its poorest grade in the survey.

And democrat wizards think they'll prevail in Autumn.

That low rating is largely because they are submitting to a bunch of bad policy that will do us no good. And that is happening because the GOP is trying to bully through a bunch of crap.

How many times do we have to have this argument? The Congress's approval ratings are reflective of both Democrats AND Republicans. And when you look at why people are unhappy with Congress, the root of this is GOP obstruction. So, when you parade out this statistic every so often, you're actually telling everyone how unsatisfied people are with GOP obstruction.

Folks are unhappy with Congress because they cannot get anything past Bush. He vetoes anything that the country supports.

"Congress' approval fell to just 22 percent, equaling its poorest grade in the survey.

Two separate unrelated issues, in reality. But of course, reality is not your specialty Herb, is it?

Clearly (just read the other responses), the problem in Congress is a lack of sufficient votes to override the shrub's veto. Nothing more, nothing less. It doesn't take a degree in advanced physics to figure that out, so even you Herb should be able to "get it."

The Democratic "wizards" as you put it are confident, as they should be, that after careful consideration the lion's share of voters this fall are going to recognize that the root cause of many of the country's problems can be traced to the inadequate brainage currently in charge of the country, and will vote accordingly. Those problems that aren't directly attributable to the shrubs woeful performance can be traced back to Nixon.

Chris, that's ok. Consider it thearapy, and some advocacy skills improvement.

"Folks are unhappy with Congress because they cannot get anything past Bush."

Do you have any idea how ridiculous that sounds?
Whenever the democrats can't get their act together, which is the norm, they have three responses.

1. Blame Bush.
2. Blame Bush.
3. Blame Bush.

We've already seen how impotent our current democrat-controlled Congress has been. And it isn't because of Mr. Bush.

The democrats are in the majority and they bleated that fact loud and strong. Now when it's put up or shut up, they go back to their olde routine of Blame Bush.

What a crock.

Herb, do you understand what a veto and a filibuster are?

Seriously, I know you're smarter than this. The only crock is your repeated efforts to deny reality.

Look. The democrats are in the majority. With enough effort and good bill-writing, they'd overcome his veto.

You're giving Mr. Bush, who is a lame duck with low approval ratings...though not as low as the democrats...more credit than usual.

Herb doesn't understand a thing unless it's about killing babies in some chicks womb or thumping his Bible.

Stick to those TWO things and Herb is a fat man at King's Table.

Funny thing, this revelation about approval ratings was on the front page of the O, too. They also mentioned that wee shrub was sucking bubbles in the toilet. In fact, his name appeared first in a big headline.

Our whole government has a low approval rating. Fine. Good information. Where do we go from here? Are you gonna loosen the strings on your big magic bag of solutions? Or was this just meant to make us all scurry and point out your omissions?

We tire of wish sandwiches when there is so much meat about.

So what mirror do you actually look into Herb when choosing your political reality? I'm thinking the one that distorts your body. You know the one when you enter into Oaks Park.

It's all about marginalizing any momentum.

The pro-life agenda lies with the GOP; therefore, anything that can improve the GOP is good.

That's it folks.
