Darlene Hooley is my reprentative in Congress and I'll be sad to see her go. She has served honorably and has done good for Democrats and for my district.

naral, the diabolical abortion lobby, gave Darlene Hooley a 100% approval rating.

Ms. Hooley voted to keep partial birth abortion.

She's beyond radical. And if she's such a feminist, half of the destroyed babies were female.

I'm glad she'll be gone.

Our soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan are safer because Darlene Hooley insisted that they be well equipped. She has also been a tireless advocate for members of the Oregon National Guard and their families here at home. Her voice has been heard loud and clear on veterans issues and she has been engaged in ending the conflict too. Whoever takes that seat is going to have some mighty big boots to fill. Shit in her helmet all you want bub, the troops all know better. They are losing a staunch ally.

If whoever replaces Ms. Hooley has a better pro-life record..and that shouldn't be too hard to do given her 100% approval rating by the dastardly and diabolical naral, it'll at least be an improvement.

I don't like it when innocent little kids are killed.

"But you sit on the sidlines & cheer.."

Prove it.

You won't because you can't.

It's laughable how radical leftists try to change the topic when the issue of aborting unborn kids is brought up.

I can't really blame you. If I were in such an indefensible position, I'd try to change the subject, too.

IMHO, that's one of the greatest tech tools we have these days.

In a very high percentage of cases, this whole question can be rendered moot with that pill.

It is a contraceptive, BTW.

Herb, your pro-life stance has no credibility as long as you support the slaughter of innocent Iraqis, so give it a rest. You're like a broken record that keeps on skipping over the same tune.

Hooley is a better American than you will ever be.

"...you support the slaughter of innocent Iraqis..."

That's simply a lie. Therefore, you're the one with no credibility.

Repeatedly it's clear you have to change the topic from Ms. Hooley's naral-approved radical support of partial birth abortion.

And if you're going to blame me for something I've never stated, then why are you not going after Mrs. Clinton who actually VOTED FOR keeping the war going?

Spin on.

"Ms. Hooley's naral-approved radical support of partial birth abortion."

Let me ask you this;

If my daughter was facing imminent death from complications from a pregnancy, would you advocate that she should be sacrificed for the sake of the fetus?

Herb, here's the facts:

Fact One: I never did and to this day DO NOT support the war in Iraq.

Fact Two: You have supported the war from day one and continue to support endless war for as long as it takes for us to "win" (whatever a win means these days).

Fact Three: Hundreds of thousands of non-terrorist, non-al-Qaida INNOCENT Iraqis have died as a result of the war YOU support.

So, it's seems pretty clear to me, that if we compare records, you support the slaughter of innocent Iraqis and I don't. Therefore, your pro-life stance is selective, which is why you have no credibility on your stance as a pro-lifer.

And as far as Hooley's Naral record, that's one of the things I like best about her. I don't ever want any woman in a free country to be forced by the government to carry a pregnancy to term.

How 'bout some more facts? Here are just a few bills sponsored by the pride of the 5th District:

  • H.RES.326 : Commemorating the 25th anniversary of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial.
  • H.RES.689 : Calling upon George W. Bush, President of the United States, to urge full cooperation by his former political appointees, current Administration officials, and their friends and associates with congressional investigations.

  • H.R.588 : To extend the period during which members of the Armed Forces deployed in contingency operations may request and receive reimbursement for helmet pads, which are designed to better protect the wearer from bomb blasts than military-issued pads, that are purchased by or for the use of such members.
  • H.R.1710 : To modify the calculation of back pay for persons who were approved for promotion as members of the Navy and Marine Corps while interned as prisoners of war during World War II to take into account changes in the Consumer Price Index.
  • H.R.1802 : To amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to provide a refundable tax credit to small businesses for the costs of qualified health insurance.
  • H.R.2059 : To amend title 32, United States Code, to provide members of the National Guard additional time to transition to civilian life when they return from active duty in support of contingency operations or homeland defense missions.
  • H.R.2313 : To establish research, development, demonstration, and commercial application programs for marine renewable energy technologies.
  • H.R.2436 : To strengthen the capacity of eligible institutions to provide instruction in nanotechnology.
  • H.R.2791 : To amend the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act to provide for establishment of a unique device identification system for medical devices.

  • H.R.3542 : To declare water hoses containing lead to be banned hazardous substances.
  • H.R.3749 : To amend the Public Health Service Act to provide for the establishment of a Drug-Free Workplace Information Clearinghouse, to authorize programs to prevent and improve treatment of methamphetamine addiction, and for other purposes.
  • H.R.4030 : To prohibit the manufacture, sale, or distribution in commerce of certain children's products and child care articles that contain phthalates.
  • H.R.4230 : To amend the Public Health Service Act to establish a school-based health clinic program, and for other purposes.
  • H.R.4897 : To amend the Social Security Act and the Public Health Service Act to improve elderly suicide early intervention and prevention strategies, and for other purposes.
  • H.AMDT.77 to H.R.1538 An amendment numbered 8 printed in House Report 110-78 to give members of the Reserve Component the option to use Military Medical Treatment Facilities closest to home for treatment on an outpatient basis of injuries sustained in theater.
  • H.AMDT.745 to H.R.3221 Amendment requires the Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency to enter into an arrangement with the Secretary of Education and the Secretary of Energy to conduct a detailed study of how sustainable building features such as energy efficiency affect multiple perceived indoor environmental quality stressors on students in K-12 schools.

As one can see from this incomplete list, Rep. Hooley was fighting for all of her constituents -- including kids, soldiers, veterans, small businesses and the elderly. She was also reacting quickly to our changing world. I admire her a great deal and hope that a solid legislator gets her seat. Oregon was damn lucky to have her in Washington.

"If my daughter was facing imminent death from complications from a pregnancy, would you advocate that she should be sacrificed for the sake of the fetus?"

That's never been the issue. Doctors ALREADY have that ability to save the life of the mother if that is the only choice. However it is a red herring that is virtually not the case anymore. Partial birth abortion is a grisly, unnecessary back-door way to slaughter the most innocent just prior to birth. Let's make the bias in favour of life, not death.

"Over 300 physician specialists including former Surgeon General C. Everett Koop-- issued a statement "partial-birth abortion is never medically necessary to protect a mother's health or her future fertility."

Re-read what I wrote:

"Doctors ALREADY have that ability to save the life of the mother if that is the only choice."
&
"...it is a red herring that is virtually not the case anymore."

It is extremely rare, and if it ever comes up, doctors already have the authority. So if doctors ALREADY have the right to save the mother, this issue is about money for abortionists.

"Hey Herb, do you even support use the the morning after pill for rape victoms?"

Sure. Contraception is an entirely different matter. Besides, I don't carry water for the pope.

So, with the egg fertilized, when exactly does life begin? When is it just birth control and when do you consider and innocent life being snuffed out? If cell division has already started then technically that is a life is it not? How do you feel about the voluntary sterilization for cash program that was being considered for drug addicts and other indigent people?

Like I said, it's a red herring. But put it this way. Three people are dying in a car wreck and you can only save one. Do you feel good about the two that died? Not at all. You save as many as possible.

Yeah we know its a red herring for you Herb but I think I can see where you are coming from.

"It is the responsibility of the rape victim to ask the rapist in the act of the actual rape to politely request that the rapist use a condom"

Please correct me if I am wrong but I think that no matter what your response will be that when reading in between the lines that is what is truly going through your sick mind.
