I think it will wind up 24 - 17 New England.

What's your prediction?

44 - 10 New England. I'll be pretty hammered by the end of the 1st half as The Pats break all sorts of records.

IMHO, it doesn't really matter since the Packers aren't in it.

However with the really awesome season that New England had, I'll be pulling for them. It would be cool for them to go unbeaten!

27-24, Pats.

Giants cover I think.

What do you all have planned? I'm having about 15 friends and coworkers over to the house, with a hell of a lot of barbecuing going on ...

Let's see, if I were to pick two of my least favorite coaches, Coughlin and Belichick would be top contenders.

How did the NE season start? Oh, that whole cheating business. Going undefeated without getting caught again means you are now excused for it in the past? Sorry Pats, that is not how this works. Oh wait, I forgot -- this is showbiz now, not competition.

I also still remember Eli when he was drafted, holding his Chargers jersey like a dirty diaper. Since Manning is about as consistent as -- (insert recent Chicago QB) -- my opinion of him is still pretty dim. He is there because of his team.

To add insult to injury, I am both a Seattle and Green Bay fan. This Sunday is not about the game as much as the food and friends. In fact, it will be kinda nice to be able to largely ignore it.

My pick? Patriots 45-13

My wife's a Boston native, so we have to root for the Red Sox and the Patriots. I hope New England wins, because it makes her much easier to live with.

Apparently, we aren't the only primates around here who have an opinion. :0)

If my figures are correct, Missing_KSKD thinks the Giants will win on Sunday. After much grokage, I may have figured out his system:

Patriots vs. Giants

2 - Anthony Wright
3 - Stephen Gostkowski
5
7 - Matt Gutierrez
11
13 - Jared Lorenzen
17 - Chad Jackson & Plaxico Burress
19
23 - Willie Andrews & Corey Webster
29 - Sam Madison
31 - Brandon Merriweather & Aaron Ross
37 - Rodney Harrison & James Butler
41 - Raymond Ventrone
43 - Michael Johnson
47
53 - Larry Izzo & Reggie Torbor
59 - Rosevelt Colvin & Gerris Wilkinson
61 - Stephen Neal & Adam Koets
67 - Dan Koppen & Kareem McKenzie
71 - Russ Hochstein & Dave Tollefson
73
79 - Guy Whimper
83 - Wes Welker & Sinorice Moss
89 - Kevin Boss
97 - Mathias Kiwanuka

Final score? Giants 17 and Patriots 13
Also, both prime numbers.
Spooky.

I agree Radio921 the commercials indeed did suck this year. But it doesn't really matter as Jordin Sparks had a Whitneyesque National Anthem perfermance. The halftime show was awesome compared to the last couple of years, and the game itself was great.

So 3 out of 4 ain't bad at all.

The half time show was good last year also with Prince.

But the game was going to be crappy at 3:00 when they closed the roof. The roof should have been closed at Noon as they do when games are played at Chase Field.

When you close a roof just before the game the building ends up being to warm which causes players to dehydrate, get tired quicker etc. etc.

It's happened twice, last time in Houston, and the NFL just has to start playing these games outdoors or close the roof way before the game to climatize the buildings properly.

I hear ys Saveitnow ...

I went to a baseball game in Miller Park in Milwaukee a couple of years ago, it was a day where the temperature and humidity both hovered in the mid-90s. They started with the roof open, closed it during batting practice, opened it again in time for the first pitch, and then closed it again when thunderstorms started rolling through. It was a freakin' sauna in there for about three innings before the AC had a chance to take effect.

My question is this: WHY THE HELL DO YOU NEED A RETRACTABLE ROOF FOR A *FOOTBALL* STADIUM? It isn't baseball where you stop when it's raining, it's FOOTBALL. Nut it up and go play in the damn slop!
