This from All Access:

--------------------Bicoastal Buys Oregon Translator---------------------

MID-COLUMBIA BROADCASTING, INC. is selling FM translator K281AX/HOOD RIVER, OR to BICOASTAL MEDIA LICENSES IV, LLC for $12,000. BICOASTAL will use the translator to rebroadcast its Hot AC KCGB (K-105)/HOOD RIVER, OR.

K281AX 104.1MHz Hood River is most likely dark at present time since it's listed as re-broadcasting KMCQ The Dalles, which is also dark.

I just heard a forecast for mixed rain and snow in the gorge on "mix 104.5".

Is the Seattle change stalled ? I heard they did some testing up there.

THey wanted to move KMCQ to Cougar Mountain as a Class C2. In order for this to happen, a Bellingham station on 104.3 must move to 104.1 but Canada has assigned 104.1 to Vancouver, which unless some agreement is made, KMCQ will be stuck as a C3, will not be able to move to Cougar and the whole point of moving to Seattle will be mostly lost!

The construction permit for the Covington move expires 9/20/08... I assume that that would *still* be the deadline to meet to build the Cougar Mt. C2 ?
tick, tick, tick.

They *may* have been off only a few days or weeks, discussion on this thread:

I don't think this works as a link, but you can find it easily

KMCQ was only off the air for a few days, before changing to Mix 104.5.

I didn't realize it had been this long already! It looks like KMCQ will have to go ahead and license as a Class C3 from the original site of the construction permit and just wait it out from there. This could take several years!
