Has anyone seen the movie "Shoot 'Em Up"? The body count must have been over 300. Reminded a lot of the style Sin City was done in and as a matter of fact the star also had a major role in that film. One weird thing is that it refused to play in my DVD player and laptop. Finally got it to play on a different machine but there must be something in the incoding that is fouled up. Anyway this film is all about the title, expect nothing less than Blood spraying everywhere.

Most bloody film seen in a while? "28 Weeks Later," the sequel to Danny Boyle's terrific "28 Days Later" (neo-zombie movie). The original was great; the sequel was OK, a bit disappointing. Most violent movie in a long time? "The Departed," Scorsese's Oscar-winner from last year. GREAT film if you've not seen it. Last night I saw "There Will Be Blood" which wasn't very bloody at all although there is blood. Terrific film. Daniel Day-Lewis was mesmerizing. It will be competing for a Best Picture Oscar with the Coen Brothers's "No Country For Old Men," which I liked very much but found the last 1/3 flawed (probably following the book though). Andrew

DT - I agree. We rented that one last weekend, and it got rather monotonous. It was also off-putting. andrew - 28 Weeks Later was bloody too, and not nearly as good as the original. But it wasn't as bloody as Shoot 'Em Up. The Departed is violent, but great story & cast.

Shoot Em' Up was void of substance and an all around terrible movie. Two HUGE thumbs down.....
