For the bruski drinking posters:

"It's a brew-lover's dream. A California couple is spending a beer-year traveling the world searching for the perfect brewski. Chris Nelson and Merideth Canham-Nelson made their first stop at the Great Alaska Beer and Barley Wine Festival in Anchorage this month. They say they plan to take one beer trip a month in 2008. The suds safari is chronicled on the Nelson's Wed site, thebeergeek.com. Nelson has a Web site design business and his wife is a clinical social worker. They say they're paying their own way and buying their own brew."

That would be fun!

Although all they have to do is go the Deschutes brewery.

Mirror Pond...Mmmm
Black Butte Porter...Mmmm
Obsidian Stout...Mmmm

I've never tasted a Deschutes brew I didn't like!!

I'm not much of an ale guy, but the Rogue brewery in Newport is a fun tour.

Anything on draught automatically gets my attention and an extra 10 pints, er ah, points.

Draft beer is simply better.

Hey, tomorrow is "Beer Can Appreciation Day". Might have to empty several so I can appreciate the can's!

Herb - Yes, it is. Ever been to the bar in the loft, where you have to go up that big wooden ladder ... ?? They sell the sample set, carved out of a giant chunk of wood they put like eight small glasses with each having their own sample of Rogue's wares.

For a beer snob such as myself, it's heaven.

I have never been a big fan of alcoholic drinks, an occassional beer, or mixed drink, baybe 2 each over a year to be sociabloe.

I have no problem with other people drinking alcohilic drinks, I just never really liked the stuff.

Which for a military person during the years I served, actually caused some problems.

Nwokie- I too am not an alcohol drinker of any kind. Those days are long gone for me.

I just thought this story was interesting because of those who enjoy a good brewski.

When I traveled to Europe the past two years and was out with family socializing and was asked what I wanted to drink and my only answer was water, I did get plenty of, water and what else? type looks and questions.

It's same with coffee. I don't drink it but in Denmark it's part of the social fabric. I would have it poured but never drink it. It got awkward at times.

Wow Chris, another non coffee drinker! I thought I was the only one! (Not really, but we are few and far between!)

I like the taste of coffee; I just don't care for hot drinks. I don't care for tea either. Very occasionally I'll have a hot chocolate, but I'd bet it's not more than once a year.

Breyer’s coffee ice cream is great and I like chocolate covered coffee beans.

The smell of coffee being roasted and freshly ground is in my opinion the finest smell in the world. It’s even better than lacquer thinner!

Give me an ice cold Diet Coke. I don't care if it's -20 outside!!

Those that know me very seldom see me without a Diet Coke either in my hand or at least nearby!

Coffee tastes like muddy water. That's three for the list. I can't stand anything coffee. I'd rather fill a one gallon container with water and ice from our well water and drink it. Problem is I don't prep for it the night before and run the snooze button to the max in the mornings.

Count me as non-coffee, non-alcohol too, but my dream vacation is to visit the House of Beer Cans in Houston TX.

So nice to have all you Designated Drivers available for the next get-together and all these road trips! :-)

I am fan of beer as long as I can't see through it: Hef, Guinness, etc.

Well let's see what other "nons" we can come up with. I'm also a non-dairy consumer. No cheese...(okay very limited depending on the situation) and I don't eat real ice cream. BUT- I make some of the world's best smoothies using non-dairy ice cream.

Also a non-red meat eater too. About 95 percent non meat eater as it is.

I think I'm actually turning into a non-human.

I'm non-coffee, very little alcohol, but have become a consistent tea drinker. I'm getting kinda particular about the kind of green tea I drink...

I would have a hard time stepping away from red meat. The protein buzz I get from eating just a moderate portion of red meat is great, it's the energy source my body seems to like best.

Well, the RV has a coffee pot and a fridge that SOMETIMES works, for our upcoming Rush road trip. Hell I'll fill the bathtub with ice and throw brews in there!
