"But asked if the country is ready for a female president, blacks and whites both are in agreement; they're less sure...Interestingly, men and women remain in agreement on this issue, too. In 2006, 60% of both genders said yes and this time it's 65% female and 64% male."

Anyone but Mrs. Clinton.

In this case, I would definitely take the African-American candidate over the female candidate.

Why can't we just get past the "he's black" and "she's a ... she!" and just go with the candidate we feel is the best for the job? I get so darned sick of hearing it!

I'm also not keen on Hillary.
I'd much rather see Edwards or Obama.

But I'm curious if some on the right could chime in and state specifically what they hate about Hillary.

To me, she seems like the "least left" of all the Democratic candidates in the race.

I suspect you've been fed such a steady diet of hatred for the last 15 years that you really have no perspective.

Is it the person, or the politics?

If the person, please elaborate.

I'm all for Obama too. Having Edwards as VP would be my dream ticket. His analysis, so far, has been valuable and leading edge. Obama has that spark, particularly with younger people. Combined, it's a potent package.

While we are waiting for others, I like Hilary the person. My wife has met her twice, here in PDX as part of National studies on Central City Concern outreach / detox efforts. Nice lady, wants to do good things.

The politics though trouble me. We need a serious change up, and I fear she is not the one to get that done.

RR made interesting comments today, regarding Obama and Reagan. Reagan, changed things significantly, due to his personal skills as a politician. Obama is saying he is similar.

That means potential for solid change, and I'm totally up for that.

Hilary, by contrast, really hasn't said too much other than she can help us to like it as it is now. Not good enough.

It's been said: 'Vote for a Republican, and at least they're honest about being in Iraq indefinitely. Vote for a Democrat, and they will say something like they support a timeline or gradual whatever, which means they're lying and we'll be in Iraq indefinitely.'

Actually, I say let Mr. Nader work his magic on everything except Supreme Court judges and fighting terror.

If Ralph wants to re-vamp the tax system, fine.
If Ralph wants to work on schools, 'corporate welfare,' the safety of automobiles, even global warming, that's a-okay with moi, as our French pals say.

Just give Mr. Huckabee say in choosing the court in order to undo Roe v. Wade, and give him some good anti-terror duties and I'm fine with Ralph for the top job.

Hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqis are dead as a result of our invasion. They would be alive if Saddam was still contained.

And, we're not comparing how many Saddam killed in the past. We're only looking at 2003 and on. The US beats out Saddam in number of killed hands down since 2003.
