I have a friend that has lived on the Islands for years now. He is a consulting broadcast engineer. He has told me that Hawaii in some respects has lagged behind the mainland in programming and engineering methods that are now common practise otherwise. Probably due to a somewhat proprietary and closed society, there, well used to doing things one way for a very long time. |
