Any one else but me tired of turning on the radio only to hear every other hack dj talking about her?

I can't even listen to the Rick Emerson show anymore because it has turned into a four hour Brittney watch.

They should change the name of the station from solid state radio to TMZ radio. They spend the entire show refreshing TMZ to get their so called news.

Mc74

It's even infiltrated NPR. Scott Simon had an interview with a reporter this morning on the "Brittney Economy." The reporter estimates that BS is now currently generating about 30 percent of Hollywood’s economy, from papperazzi's, to tabloid publications and TV and all that other crap.

I thought I was safe when I turned on NPR this morning.

NO place is safe! :-)

Note: for some reason this link does not take you directly to the audio clip... scroll down the page to "The Economics of Britney Spears"

Instead of watching what is going on in America we're watching Britney Spears????
It's the FOXNews mentality... NO news is good news. VOID of substance........

I would say most of what Hollywood generates is B.S.

I've never understood the celebrity appeal. Do people feel that their own lives are so meaningless that they have to idolize super-stars like that? Who cares about fading teen pop stars?

Fox News? What does that have to do with this? It's not Fox that is carrying Britney stuff, it would be CBS, NBC, ABC and CNN, the dumbo networks.
Fox pretty much sticks to politics, maybe not your politics but still politics, not entertainment.
Try not to let your politics affect your thinking there trixter. It's not all about politics. Britney coverage is what our country has become. A nation of morons fascinated with crappy "celebrities". But don't be trying to blame the only network that actually does some kind of news.

Fox don't need it on it's news channels, TMZ is on nights and weekends. Fox feels it's so newsworthy Hollywood crapola gets it's own time slot!

The Associated Press apparently has her in their death pool...seeing how they have already begun preparing an obituary for her in the event of her passing (which is something they usually just do for much older celebrities of course):

I remember about a year before Mr Bob Hope died, one of the news services was updating his obit, and accidently dent it, and a member of the Senate read it on the Senate Floor, supposedly Mr Hope thought it was a great laugh.

Entertainment is suppossed to give people a distraction from their life, if they enjoy hearing about Ms Spears, or whoever, its their choice, and the news/entertainment people should give the people what they want. Not what they think the people should want!

Hey, it's been kind of quiet on the Britney front since daddy took over. Then they finally put Heath Ledger to rest. Yawn. If Angelina doesn't adopt a new orphan soon, a lot of good gossip reporters may be out of gigs!
