I can't even come close to any of the above lists but I can say I have seen Bruce Springsteen at the LA Coliseum in 1984 and solo Sammy Hagar...opening for Boston at Mac Court in 1979. Other than that the list is too short: U2 (before they were huge...concert wasn't even a sellout) The Alarm R.E.M. Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers Oregon Jam 1 & 2 Angel City Missing Persons Elvis Costello & the Attractions Trashcan Sinatras The Shins Guess I don't get out much either.

Let's see I saw Pink Floyd in 1977 at the MC,the Kingdome and then at BC Place. I've seen Springsteen three times and I don't know what the hype is all about. When he gets sick and tired of people requesting songs he puts on an awful show. However on the Tunnel of Love Tour in Tacoma he was great since the crowd was great. So if the audience is made up of people who want a greatest hits show sell your tickets and move on, as it won't be that great of a concert. But if it's hardcore Bruce fans in attendance, your in for a treat, much as the same can be said of U2. Saw U2 twice here in Portland, once at BC Place, once in Tacoma and once in Oakland and they were all great shows.

I didn't mention a desire to see Led Zeppelin for any other reason than I didn't want to get disappointed by a non-tour by them. I've bought into the hype ( albeit deserved with them ) and been burned before when it didn't happen. ( How many Halen reunions were promised before it actually happened? ) Then I just read this... http://www.vh1.com/news/articles/1574740/20071120/led_zeppelin.jhtml Kill two birds, eh? Madonna back in 85' on her first tour she came to the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall with the Beastie Boys. Nobody knew who the hell the Beasties where and Madonna had only a couple songs out at the time. The second time was in Seattle and they were COMP tickets so my girlfriend at the time wanted to go. Hey CJ! I tried to respond to this yesterday, but for some reason it didn't post. anyway, you said: "Philly, we share more than a few. When did you see Rainbow? Where did you see Mojo? ( Living Colour - yes! )" Yes, we do share quite a few - okay, Rainbow - September 1979, the Spectrum in Philly. They opened for Blue Oyster Cult. Mojo - around '94 or '95, in a small bar in Eugene, can't think of the name of the place. It was just Mojo and his guitar. The place was packed! Living Colour - I saw maybe 6-7 years ago at the Crystal; local band Floater opened. You saw Eddie Izzard 3 times! I love Eddie Izzard. I saw him here in PDX on the Sexie tour.

Yeah. That Eddie show was early in the tour and I thought was off by quite a bit. If I remember right, even he mentioned that the later L.A. shows would be tighter...so " come to those." Dress To Kill will always be THE ultimate performace for me. Not just for him, but for any comedian. Glorious is a very close second though. And yeah, I think that's when I saw Mojo. He was on his way up to Bumbershoot and played along as he trekked up. Same here. The place was packed.
