So I was watching some reality show about a bunch of "bad girls" all living in this house real world style and saw that one of the girls is a dj or something here in Portland.
Any ideas who she is or where she works?

Yeah,you can hear Naveen on the playhouse in eugene from 5 to 10 on 94.9 jamz.She used to be called egypt,but she is being sued for the name,it is a pretty funny show that is also tv.

I don't see how. That's a completely different market and The Playhouse isn't syndicated there. There's no copyright on on-air names.

Ok, you may be right, Tom. Here's what's on Wikipedia (and we all know how accurate that is):
Neveen was known on the show as Egypt during her first four years on the show (a reference to her country of birth) but was forced to change her name in December 2007 due to a threatened lawsuit from another radio personality.
If that's true, it's ridiculous! I've known several jocks with the same on-air names. I know of another one that uses the same one I do. As long as they're in different markets, how can you claim ownership of a name?

Hero: I think you're missing Tom's point. Both of these radio personalities in different markets seem to be making a transition into national television. The other Egypt is thinking ahead. You can't have two Egypt's on TV. This would be confusing to a national audience.
