Anybody know where these stations might be? I had heard Bi-Coastal was going to offload some stations in Coos Bay, but these must be further up the coast. Newport? Florence? Astoria?

"Oregon Coast: Two FMs in the same market, same owner as above. Small market, owner/operator opportunity. Currently absentee owner with good local management. Nice facilities, well-constructed and operations are completely integrated with each other. Currently showing a positive cashflow!"

What I wouldn't do for that opportunity. It is a hard life, but could be so rewarding. Although, I would prefer this being in Eastern Oregon.

I believe there's only 1 commercial FM in Tillamook at this time unless we're counting Bay City.

If it's the stations I'm thinking of, Tom Hodgens is the likely owner. I know he was trying to sell a couple of stations up there last summer. He is in Walla walla.

Let me see if I can afford them...(checking wallet... checking online bank statement). Yes, I can! As long as they'll accept my offer of $97.

jay_zie.... for spanish to work on the Oregon coast you will have to get more of your illegal relatives to migrate to the coast. assuming there are enough jobs that legit Americans don't want to do there of course.

Of course, now that I say that, I see this "mystery person" is no longer listed on the Cost 105 website. Oh well, sucks to be her.

There is huge opportuity in radio on the Oregon coast. There is less competition, you don't have 30 other stations breathing down your back. Do what you say you are going to do, and people will be amazed. Thus, sales will soar. Some of you radio geniuses should pool your resources and give Tom a call. Those little stations would be an opportunity to put your money where your mouth is.......

KIXT, Bay City and KDEP, Garibaldi. KIX 96 is country and Coast 105.5 is Hits from 80's, 90's and today. Both satellite except Coast has a morning show. Both have websites.

I have plenty Illegal friends and family in Tillamook. I could get more to come here.
The only jobs people like you are willing to do are those where you sit on your fat ass all day and want to get paid extreme amounts for doing it. You wouldn't move your head to the right if it's not in your job description.
Whereas "illegals" are willing to jump right at the task when they are asked to.
That's why you will never see a Mexican standing aside a freeway exit ramp begging for money, or offering to work for food and when offered a job they won't take it. I'll remember not to help you be lazier when I see you with your cardboard sign.

Wouldn't the AM in Tillamook also be involved in the sale? I beleive the two FM's and the one AM are owned by the same company.

Rumor has it that the Tillamook fm or fm's are being purchased to move into the PDX market.
KDUN is now $400k. Nice profit having hardly been on the air with the new ownership.
The owners of the land did at least improve the "floodability" of the land with a bulldozer.

Rumor has it that the Tillamook fm or fm's are being purchased to move into the PDX market.

That will be interesting, as KIXT is/was the 95.9 Auction 37 allotment that if it stays on that frequency is going to have to be 86 km. away from KXJM Portland and 152 km. away from KZEL Eugene and 165 km. away from KXXO Olympia. I'm sure there's a few other stations that would come under consideration as well. And those numbers are assuming the station stays a class A.

105.5 KDEP is the station that used to be in Depoe Bay that moved a few years ago (received considerable discussion here when that move happened). Assuming it moves somewhere near Portland, it's going to have to be 115 km. away from other class A's KUKN Longview, KCGB Hood River, and 166 km. away from KEUG Veneta as they have an app for C2. And I haven't even mentioned being 75 km. away from C1's KRSK Molalla and KQOL Vancouver!

Second adjacencies don't seem to be very viable here. Mt Hood is the only good shot but there isn't much population east of Gresham and the protected contour barely reaches it.

Wasn't there something on here several months ago that Van Moe was involved with trying to move KTIL FM to Government Camp? That's a real rimshot into Gresham.
