Moron Arrested After Driving Truck Into House

Tuesday, January 08, 2008

Note to Mr. Moron: Don't act like one.

Bryan Scott Moron, 20, of Burleson, Texas, was arrested Friday after he lost control of his truck and struck a mailbox, then a house, MyFOXDFW.com reports.

Living up to his surname, Moron failed sobriety tests, the station said. The arrest report showed his blood alcohol level to be more than twice the legal limit.

Moron, a restaurant server, was also driving at an excessive speed, according to the report.

And then there is this name change story:

Daniel Michael Miller is now experienced. Mr. Experience. The former Dan Miller has legally changed his name to "The Dan Miller Experience." His first name is The Dan. His middle name is Miller and his last name is Experience. The magistrate who made it official says his first reaction was that the 24-year-old musician-and-rapper from Akron, Ohio, will have some trouble with Homeland Security. But the magistrate says Experience seems like a nice kid, so he approved the change.

Experience says he likes to do little things in life that amuse him. And he says, "This amuses me."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KentuckyFriedCruelty.com

I first found out about this guy in a write-up in the Columbian's "Life" section a few years ago........

Yes, KentuckyFriedCruelty.com apparently was his legal name for a period; he's since changed it back to Chris Garnett.

I don't know whats more cruel, them killing the chickens or consumers eating the product.

Personally I would have to agree with the latter Darktemper, considering the horrible indigestion I typically get after consuming their product.

"Kentucky Fried Cruelty" indeed! *grin*

(And have you ever been to the "KFC Buffet" on Gher Road & Coxley, right across the street from MickieDee's? Not pretty.)

I'll vote for Popeye's too! Great food, bit of a drive, but great food!

@Chris: Man, I love that story! Wish we had a few more people with that perspective. --even just the entertainment factor would be worth dealing with them, don't you think?

Speaking of funny names, a good childhood friend of mine, named Chris BTW, decided we were gonna make some phone calls. Having built our own little stealth phone, complete with soldered clips and thumb tack, wire tap kit, we tried it out on a line that was not ours.

(hope there is a statute of limitations of some sort on that)

We called a bunch of people with goofy names, told some jokes and got the usual, "bug off" (but with worse words sometimes), hangups, etc...

Dialed up "J Bond" and asked him:

"Mr. Bond?"

"Yes, hello?"

"Mr. James Bond?"

{the guy gets right into the role!}

"Bond here, what's the situation?"

From there, we played out some lines in the movies and had a great time! One of the two best childhood goofy calls I've ever had.

The other one was Polock. We dialed up a residence and asked if they had heard any Polock jokes. The woman did, and proceeded to just crack us up for about 20 minutes!

Both didn't mind one bit if we called back sometime in the future. We never did, of course. I am reminded of those calls when funny names come up, for some reason.

These days caller ID takes all the fun out of making crank calls!

When I lived in Tampa in the early 80's we'd go over to a friend’s shop that had the old multi-line push button (to select the line, remember those!) phones.

We'd look up in the phone book and find a listing that had the parents listed and also a "children's phone" listing.

Then we'd take the mouth pieces out so they couldn't hear us and from 2 separate lines dial each number then "patch" the 2 lines together.

Call went something like this:

Parent: Hello?

Kid: Hello?

Parent: Jimmy?

Kid: Mom?

Parent: Why did you call me?

Kid: I didn't. You called me.

Parent: No. You called me. My phone was ringing.

Kid: My phone was ringing too and when I picked it up you were there.

Parent: Are you playing with your phone again?

Kid: No.

Parent: If you don't stop playing with your phone I'm going to take it away from you.

And so on!

We'd make that same call several times to the same numbers over about a 30 min. time frame!

I wonder how many kids either got spanked or lost their phones!

The good old days! Cheap thrills!

Not only cheap thrills, but you went to great length to get them too.
