I think that it is a given that most people in our society are going to treat things like cars, computers, food, clothing, and radio as "commodity" items. In other words, they use these things, recognize that they are necessary, but don't really care about arcane little details about them or how they came to be. However, for all of these things, there is a small group of enthusiasts who who does care about the details and in some cases relishes in learning about them, improving them, or creating them. A board like this, by its nature, draws a lot of radio fans. We have people who love radio circuits. There are people here who love the entertainment aspects of radio programming. We have people who love to talk on the air and operate studio equipment. There are people here who love radio personalities. There are people here who love the details of the business and promotions aspects of radio. None of these are the typical "P1" listener. Can't we all just get along?

Warm, fuzzy advisory. Seriously, I think it's ok. Not always ok when mingling with ordinary people though. There are three kinds: like radio, use radio, and no longer like radio. The latter has grown somewhat, IMHO.

My radio never gets hot enough that I need to fan it to keep it from overheating.

Is it OK to be a radio fan? Just don't tell anyone, especially the radio station. then they will think it's ok to keep delivering the same mediocre product.

Is it OK to be a radio fan? Yes. Just don't tell anyone, especially the radio station. And I'll add... don't become a station stalker and/or provide too many "suggestions" to the programming department.

Station stalker who provides "suggestions" to the programming department. Wasn't that formally known as "overnight guy?"
