Oregon Media Insiders is reporting the firing of longtime Lars Larson producer Shawn Taylor. According to OMI, KXL fired Taylor the Friday before Christmas.

Why?

C'mon now.... someone's GOT to have the inside iggy on this. Has Lars mentioned it at all? If so, it'd be interesting to know how he chooses to slant it.

Maybe Shawn ASSURED Larson that Kulongoski would get ripped by the Oregon Bar if Lars went ahead with the claim against him.

Yep that kicker is earning some interest currently in our bank account. It was a decent amount but it wasn't a bank breaker by any means.

I think every charitable organization contacted us via phone, email or TV for us to give our kicker to them. Since my wife and I give monthly to several organizations I figured we give it to ourselves this time.

Was Shawn Taylor actually hired by Lars or was she an employee of KXL who was assigned to him? I guess I'm wondering who actually fired her.

The "why" will eventually have to surface, and we'll just have to wait. If either Shawn or Lars "lurks" here, a simple straightforward answer would go a long ways to circumvent any speculation.

She was there before Lars. Why do we care what happened to Ms. Taylor? She is most likely better off not being there. She is creative and after working with Lars, she will be able to adapt to anywhere or anything that is put in front of her. She is a good hard working radio talent!

Expecting Lars or any KXL management-type to discuss Taylor's firing here is pretty unrealistic.

I don't know why Shawn was fired, but I've confirmed that indeed she was. It didn't go exactly the way as described by some folks at OMI, but she was fired the Friday before Christmas.
