B L D This is way far off but I can hardly wait for this one. I just hope to hell the next chapter has a new plot and cast of characters.

I don't know who will be inaugurated on 1/20/2009, but as long as his or her name isn't Bush or Cheney, I will still be quite happy to see these two thugs exit the stage. I'll be celebrating that day no matter what. I'm starting to think the chances of Mitt Romney being nominated are about as good as mine. He seems to say one new stupid thing every week ("I saw my father march with Martin Luther King." - guess it depends what the meaning of "saw" is LOL!) John McCain looks poised for a comeback. Social conservatives like Huckabee in general but will realize soon enough that he can't win a national election. It will come down to stomaching Rudy Giuliani's pro-gay pro-abortion married-three-times anti-social values or John McCain's stance on immigration. McCain will win out. He may not win Iowa but I think he will win the nomination. I'm pretty sure it will be Clinton vs. McCain in 2008. While neither would be my first choice, either one would be a huge improvement over the current Occupant. Andrew

I can't wait for the thugs to be gone either. It's embarrassing having such backwards idiots representing us. The whole world hates Bush and Cheney for the most part. However, I think Obama is going to beat out Clinton. Either way, one of the two will be the next president.

I think that enough of the left is disillusioned with HRC that she would face a huge uphill battle against the GOP ... and most of us fence-riders are saying HELL NO to her. It's looking more and more like a two-person race there though. Romney is shooting himself in the foot, and he comes across more as a smarmy, holier-than-thou guy who, yes, flip-flops. Huckabee is too socially conservative, and as much as I like his tax structure idea and some of his other ideas, and as likable as he is as a person, I can't join the Christian right. McCain strongly believes we should be in Iraq. Deal breaker. Andrew is right though, ANY of them would constitute an improvement over the current regime.

Huckabee thinks people with AIDS need to be isolated. I think he needs to be isolated on a raft in the Pacific. Either Obama or Hillary will do. All the huffing and puffing about Hillary won't erase the fact that she is still very popular and can easily win the Demo nomination and eventually the White House.

The HUCKster is toast unless he get's the EXTREME RIGHT'S endorsement. If Hillary get's the White House I'm moving my family to Switzerland!

Trixter - Huckabee probably is the choice of the far right. Religiously he falls in line with their ideologies.

Unless there's some sort of 3-way Ross Perot race in the making, I don't see how Huckabee could beat any of the Democrats running in a 2-way race. McCain would have a shot, though, although I think Hillary would beat him. Andrew

Trixter... We will charter a plane together if Hillary is elected. Many of you know I am a Republican all the way. But I honestly am not fan of anyone in the pool right now. I really don't think the nominee will be McCain or Rudy. McCain is most likely my first choice. But it will most likely all be decided by the time the Oregon Primary comes around anyway.
