Thanks, Dave!

This looks really promising! There are 610 episodes of Jack Benny including the first and last show! That's 610 more than http://radiolovers.com. 12,000 shows is quite a playlist!

Thank you!
My Mom got me hooked on these back in the day on KEX. It was the after dinner ritual. I can't wait to show her these sites! I'm gonna go hear Fibber open the closet door right now :-)

During my tenure at KCST in Florence, and also while in Seattle the stations ran a whole series of old time radio shows. I believe that they still do during X-mas from the 23rd to the 25th. Jack Benny,
Fibber Mcgee, Mel Blanc, Red Skelton and a host of others as well.
I'm sure they still do A Christmas Carol and a couple of others like
the radio version of "It's a wonderful life" too.

Mark: You hit every show I was thinking of almost! CBS Radio's "The Mel Blanc Show". NBC Radio's "The Red Skelton Show" but you missed a couple.

I think one of the greats of the 1950's was CBS Radio's "The Stan Freberg Show" or classic 40's "The Jack Benny Program" on NBC Red. Plus just look at all the Vintage Newscasts!

I own the entire run of the Stan Freberg Show. Someone bought it for me for Christmas one year. It was the replacement for the Jack Benny program after the latter gave up its radio broadcast.

I remember "Theater Five" on ABC radio, with Fred Foy announcing. Then I started listening to John, but I was only in grade school.

Craig, you're right. In fact, last night at midnight, I HAD to listen to Christmas episodes of Jack Benny and Mel Blanc. And I was NOT disappointed!

After what...60 years since the original Benny show broadcast?...I'm laughing out loud with gusto, and in danger of waking up everyone in the house!

This stuff STILL holds up after all this time!

And being the Frebarg fan I am, I can hardy wait to tap into that and about a dozen other series!

'Scuse me, please...I'm grabbing some egg nog and planning on a Red Skelton Christmas broadcast next...I see at least three to choose from!

Again, this IS a treasure...

Kinda like imagining John and Brooks "calling all the ships at sea..."

Merry Christmas, and cheers to one and all!

The wonderful thing, that most have forgotten, is that STAN FREBERG IS STILL ALIVE!!!!! His "Green Chri$tma$" is great and should be played every year, even if it is 6-1/2 minutes long.
