I think the advisor was on their way out, the campaign saw it as a chance to get another dig in on Obama on the coat-tails of a guy who was already on his way out, knew that it would be bad, then could make it look like they know how to make people accountable.

See? I'm an equal oppotunity skeptic.

And I'm also just a little pissed off still.

Oh, it's just politics. Hillary's campaign might be feeling just a tad on edge with Obama seemingly even in the polls. Given Hillary's national stature, she should be far ahead of this upstart at this stage of the game, not neck and neck.

The next couple of months should be interesting. It could all be over just a few weeks, or, perhaps, we Oregonians will get lucky and the Oregon primary in May might get to break a tie. Wouldn't THAT be wild? Can you imagine all the attention Oregon would get with all the campaigns converging here? (Well, I can dream, can't I?)

Dream on Andrew, it will probably be over in a few weeks.

And, I don't think the Obama drug thing is that big of deal. Afterall, Bush is an admitted alcoholic in his late 30s who pled guilty to DUII and that didn't hurt him. Obama's issues happened much earlier in his life, and as a result, don't carry as much weight as bad choices make later in life.

I bet many are having second thoughts now. At any rate, I'm thinking Obama's image isn't so sqeaky clean anymore with many. Anyway, If Hillary didn't bring it out, the GOP contender will.

I'm also thinking and hoping that since it was already a known fact and he openly addressed it himself much earlier, it's not that big of a deal, unlike WPE's non-answers to his own cocaine use. There has always been that question mark over his fat head, whereas BO just says he did it and then figured out it was a bad choice.

It's not like someone unexpectedly "outed" him and we're all shocked. I think his honesty makes him a "regular" guy, and it's a good thing if he's speaking to kids and can say "hey, yeah I did it, it was getting me nowhere and I made a decision to change the direction I was heading"
