I just finished watching tonight's Oregon Field Guide on Oregon Public Broadcasting (OPB). This week's episode has a great feature on a few different Radio/TV towers in Oregon. Watch as they ascend the giant 1000 foot KGW/OPB skyline tower on Portland's west hills to repair a faulty transmission line. The line feeds the wrap-around panel antenna for five Portland FM stations. |

Only true radio/tv/and engineer types would really appreciate the program. Which of course makes this the perfect place to promote it. |

I believe that particular episode is at least a couple of years old. But I have seen it a couple of times before. Remarkably interesting, especially since the closest I have been near a radio tower was out in the courtyard at the Frank Estate! ;o) |

Going to the root of the URL revealed it's the Boulder Atmospheric Observatory tower. |
